This may possibly work as Ade has pace and can hold it up more effectively than Crouch ever did however VDV doesn't run channels he gets it and turns and then we have less options infront of him. Yesterday Modric and Parker had 2 strikers to aim for and that makes such a difference.

I really don't think it will work I'm afraid but may be worth a try otherwise only way VDV would fit would be to play RM and cut in which like a previous poster mentioned when we had
modric cutting in from the left gives us balance VDV on the right and Bale on the left may do the same.

If the wingers do their job VdV should have three targets to aim for. VdV has played in the hole with only one striker ahead of him for most of his carrier, and has admitted he hates it when he is shifted out wide, he is also less effective. As long as our team plays has a cohesive unit there should not be a problem.
