Probably because he has just arrived, harry was very critical of Ramos playing fringe players with the reserves so strange he is doing this now

It might be something to do with being one of the homegrown players should we need to register him.

Gio has obviously and rightly so been told to do one.

He was, but the difference then was that there was no maximum squad size with having to have a number of homegrown players, so it literally made no sense for Juande Ramos to banish the players he did.

It seems a bit petty from Redknapp, but if guys like Bentley and Hutton are turning down potential moves away as they like the contracts they are on, it might be his way of telling them to fuck off.

All we need now is for Hutton to bog off, give Charlie his number, leaving #22 spare ...

Charlie would say no to #2,
#5 is his prefered shirt number.

Might be to late though, to give recently available shirt numbers
to players that have been allocated theirs already.
Not sure on the rules and deadlines.
