"What a shot! Pick that one out!"

The famous commentary of David Coleman on BBC's Sportsnight programme said it all.

50 years ago today - 3 May, 1972 - Martin Chivers smashed home one of, if not the best of his 174 goals for the Club on the biggest stage, the first leg of the UEFA Cup Final against Wolves at Molineux.

Happy, happy days. I was standing high up on the South Bank, along with the 3000 other Spurs fans, so had a great view of both goals.

And who was the 'legend' at my stadium tour a month or two back.......Martin Chivers. fabulous stuff.
