Really bloody helpful if you don't live in London and need to rely on public transport - particularly as I'll have to factor potential extra-time and penalties into any bus or train I book. Will have to book a 10pm train home or something, and get back about midnight. Why six-o-clock?! TV?

Semi final KO time 6pm??

I cant believe we are kicking off at 6pm.
Two rivals on the beer all day..taking forever to get home.

Also surely this helps Chavs argument to have the game Friday night surprised the police are allowing it.

It's a London derby. In London. The real bitch was playing Arsenal in Manchester early afternoon and still getting home after midnight. And losing.

Mental decision. The FA/police wouldn't even consider Friday night (presumably worried about boozing?) but they sign off a 6pm kick off which allows everyone to get on it for 2 days before pitching up.

completely thoughtless decision

ignores Chelsea's game on tuesday (not that i care)

allows drinking for hours before hand

and hardly ideal for people coming from afar especially with kids etc

its just nuts

so at night on a friday you don't think that most fans would be on the beer all day and further into the night then?

Seeing as the Liverpool v Everton game is a 12:30pm kick off on the Saturday, I suspect this has been decided to give the groundstaff time to repair the playing surface

Seeing as we moaned so much about the pitch after Pompey beat us, I suppose we can't compain too much that they have factored that into the decision. Probably works more in our favour than Chelsea's too as they play again on the Wednesday
