If we were to do this it'd need to be someone who could command a respect and who got the club completely, someone who would immediately get the fans behind the team and provide some inspiration.

In short the only guy for the job would surely be one of the very guys you mentioned - Van der Vaart.

I think the key thing we need is a creative 'Talisman'. Yes we have signed a lot of creative players already but there all young. We need some experience in the creative positions.

We have plenty of big name players...

José Paulo Bezerra Maciel Júnior and Sandro Raniere Guimarães Cordeiro
I hope you appreciate that everyone here left this lazy and obvious joke to you, SMC. We knew you'd be along eventually. Very big of us I think.

not being funny but......

lamela, eriksen and paulinho are all 'big' name players who were courted by bigger clubs than us. Verts turned down the scum to come here. We have the players, just got to put the buggers on the bloody pitch consistently (yes, i'm looking at you tim).

Indeed. If he can just do that it'll be huge and he'll have succeeded where AVB failed instantly.

We had that big name in our team last season. But our beloved club just currently do not have the finances to keep our big name players nor sign ready made big name players. Over the past couple of seasons, it seems that every player that developed into a very good/world class player with Spurs moves on to a club with bigger financial clout i.e. Bale, Modric, Berbatov, Carrick.

Nothing is going to change until we get our new stadium built and we start raking in the money. Until then we will continually buy potential superstars and when they become superstars, Danny boy will flog them off.

As mentioned, I think we got the potential big name players. I think what we might need is someone in the mould of Gallas or Parker. And before you laugh at me, I'm talking about the personalities rather than the players. Someone who knows what it takes to win and who isn't afraid to let his teammates know when they are not good enough.

Im very disheartened right now with everyone of my sports teams and that makes my disheartening worse. So, those types of posts will be about the normal right now until we start winning something.

You sure you realise you picked Spurs - Misanthropy FC - not Man Utd?

Actually thinking about it, you're doing it right but make sure you wallow with your head just below the surface to really let the grief wash over you!

There's nothing silly about that. Totally agree.
