A Map showing where we all park to walk to the ground from!

Could anyone else add their parking spot to this map using a marker? Just need a bigger sample size on where people park, Thanks!

Hi all,

I am conducting some research on the impact of THFC, so I would really appreciate it if you could take a few minutes of your time to place a marker on a map I've created to show where you walk to the ground from.

The map is interactive so you will be able to see where everyone else walks to the ground from, which I’m sure will be of interest.

Anyway, here’s the map link and some instructions are below if you get stuck on how to place your marker, (be sure to choose the right colour!):

http://www.zeemaps.com/map?group=300034

Once you've opened up the link, go to the top left corner of the map and click 'additions' then 'add marker - detailed' from the drop-down menu, you'll get a light blue box come up.

Then at the bottom of the light blue box select what marker colour to use. You should choose the colour depending on what mode of transport you just used to get to the spot that you walk to the ground from.

Red=car
Blue=train
Purple=bus
Green=tube
Yellow=taxi
Orange=coach
Brown=cycle/walk from your house
White= other (please message me specifying what mode of transport you used and roughly where it is)

To place a marker, type in the address or click the blue words in the light blue box to place it on the map. You can drag the box to the side if it gets in the way by clicking the top of the box.

If you are unsure on what to do or have any questions, feel free to message me/comment here.

Thank you very much for taking part!

Added mine. The missus works at North Middlesex Hospital so I use her parking permit. Really quick to getting back on to the A406 from there as well.

I added mine, but it does not tell the entire travel story. I marked the seven sisters tube station and marked it green. However, I do not live in England and typically stay with my best friends down in Brockenhurst, Hants. So, not counting airlines or ferries and things like that, gameday travel is typically rail from Brockenhurst up to Waterloo station. Then it's the tube from there to seven sisters and a walk up the high street.

Not sure any of this matters, just trying to give you complete data for your project. Best of Luck!!

I marked Bruce Grove and detailed the journey to there in the description box (Train from Chingford to Hackney Downs, then back out to Bruce Grove), though occasionally i get a lift to Tescos on the a406 then walk from there. When i was younger and lived down near the billet, i used to walk the whole way, down Blackhorse Road then cut across the marshes, cross the Lee by balancing on a pipe then jump a fence next to the rail depot... ah, good times.

Marked my home town as well. Not very often at the Lane because have to fly, this season only stops Everton (h) and maybe Fulham (h). Went to Stoke in December this year.

Lived last year in central London (Kings Cross) and went nearly every game there by tube.

Thanks for all the responses guys, I've repped you accordingly :) I still need a bigger sample size, so would really appreciate it if anymore of you could place a marker on the map. Thank you!

PS remember to place it where you walk to the ground from (after driving/train) not where you actually travel from. Thanks!

I did this very wrong first time, and I'm pretty sure a few others has as well. Unless someone really walks from Leeds :|

Put myself down at Seven Sisters as white. Plane -> rail -> tube from Bergen\Manchester to SS.

As I read the instructions it was what mode of travel used to get to the point where walking was used to get to the ground.

Haha, I used to do the same journey, down folly lane then across the marshes.

Out of interest, how comes you don't just get the 444 bus from Chingford to Angel Edmonton?

I get the train from Brentwood to Stratford and then from there to Northumberland Park, usually go WHL to Liv Street to get home.
