In the recent past why have so many players with big reputations proven international experiance have just bombed after arriving at the lane , soldado , paulinio , pav , redrov . Maybe its the lack of playing their football outside the premiership before we sign them .
In other threads I have referred to WHL as being the Bermuda Triangle for footballers. You didn't mention Capoue who was totally lost.....how we managed to find him let alone sell him was a surprise to me.

A true gentleman, hope the youngsters in the squad learnt a few lessons about how a seasoned professional handles himself. When he signed I really believed we were destined to do well........ It did not work out. Good luck Roberto, I have no doubt that karma will be on your side.

What a man, he could've gone down the route of other footballers and blame us for all his failings on the pitch but he didn't. Classy until the end, wish him all the best and genuinely hope it works out for him.
I agree, and it seemed to me that he genuinely enjoyed watching Kane develop rather than having a chip on his shoulder. Might make a good coach one day.

A lot off Spanish strikers have failed in the prem, (ofc Torres is an exception but he had pace and decent size and strength) when will we realise players like bobby are great in Spain and he is a very good player, but he will struggle in a league esp if we don't play to his strengths. I really wish he had signed when we has modric, bale, vdv and Lennon he could have been a goal machine. I feel sorry for the guy, a miscarriage must have been really tough loosing a child would be horrendous not to mention woman go crazy for a while after having a baby so it would be a lot to deal with. I really hope he goes on to be a legend at Villarreal

Something tells me when Adebayor finally fucks off he won't be apologising for being a lazy **** for all but two months of his contract.

What a nice guy. He could easily have said "I was a star when I arrived and now I'm a virtual nobody needing to start again". Here's a thank you from Chris and a sorry it didn't work out. I'll be cheering for you at Villareal.

I would like to make an apology to you Roberto on behalf of Tottenham Hotspur.

I am sorry we absolutely destroyed your career.
