Many don't seem to understand the concept of loyalty. It's only admirable if the player in question resists a better club or better money to stay with us. If he's never offered a move to a better club or a bigger contract then his loyalty is never tested. He's not stuck around out of loyalty to anything other than the best offer on the table; which is us.

It's the same silly bullshit we kept hearing with Dawson.

Well, we don't know wether he had opportunities when he was hotter prospect, but it was more about fans showing some loyalty towards good servants (all time leading in assists for us in PL era?) when they demand it from hottest stars when big guns come calling. In no way are these "can't wait to get rid of little piece of..." called for, they are actually rather disgusting.

I'm not being sarcastic, but can someone suggest why Lennon to Everton was a good move?

Option to buy? Aim to strengthen a non-threat so they may beat those who are our top four competition? Lennon was being a problem behind the scenes and needed a cooling off period elsewhere but he is still part of our plans?

This feels like an end of an era. Pretty much the last player from our Champions League team.

Demanding loyalty from fans for millionaires who are only doing what's best for themselves is as misguided as demanding loyalty from players who have every right to do that.

He looks genuinely disgusted!

I'm happy for him because he should be playing, but I am going to miss the little chap. Feels like a Spurs fixture and fitting.

Sure it's already been said but, Lennon was the last of the 18 involved in the 1-0 away win against Milan :-(

True, however those of us going on demanding it from players should show some to other direction too. Only talking about consistency.

Different era now. We're building a team, not an ensemble of individuals

Whatever we are doing, it only matters if we improve over that bunch of individuals. Couldn't give a flying fuck about being a team with big T if it doesn't show on pitch. Remains to be seen.

I'm sure it's probably not ideal for him and I understand he's got the ability to do a job that most people never have. However, maybe he should step back and take a look at how successful he's been in life. If he's been smart, he is financially set for life in probably the top 1% of earners, doing a job that he likely loves to do.

How many people have had to take a position just to put food on their plate, doing something they hate with a passion?

Wish he was a happier, but seriously, your life's not all that bad Aaron.
