I know that Makoun is a Lyon player now, and Lyon have always been clever in the transfermarket (the last few years). Now they have got former Lille mananger Claude Puel, and that was one of the main reasons why Makoun signed for them.

When I said - Lets hope we will get Makoun, then, it was ironic. (Another player we miss out to sign).

(Dont get me wrong here - We have signed good players like Modric and Dos Santos, and even Mpoku, so I am happy with those signings. )

It isn't a case of not acting in time, but a simple case of that unlike on computer games, in the real world, clubs don't sell their best young talent, just because an offer comes in. Nasri has been one of the most well known talents in world football since he was 16. It's only now that Marseilles are prepared to sell him.

It was the same with Kalou, when he was at Feyenord. they said they wouldn't sell him and he said on numerous occassions that he wouldn't leave until he had his Dutch citizenship issue's sorted out. Yet you kept on insisting that we should buy him. Like Nasri, he wasn't for sale.
