Yeah hum... Hmmm.... Not sure on Johnson.

As for Mancini, he doesn't trust half his squad and regularly tells them they will never play for city again... so errrr....

Anyway, maybe maybe. If price and attitude was right.

i would sign him... not as a replacement, but a backup. he can play both on the left and right, great option to have on the bench.

any idea of the wages he are taking at city? can we afford him?

at the moment... i will favor Hoilett cause i feel he is more affordable.

Adam Johnson is ok a little overrated IMO but he would be a good signing for Tottenham a player we could rotate with Lennon and Bale. McClean looks interesting but Remy would be superb.

I'm sorry but he would be a huge upgrade on Lennon, Lennon is so overrated its unbelievable.

Wasn't he ahead of him for England?

I love Lennon but Johnson has a better cross and scores more goals. He's an all round better footballer.

It's marginal but I think Johnson would pip it.

But you're missing the point. City don't seem to want him and he has fantastic potential.

If Bale did leave he would do a very good job on the left wing too. It would also free up Bale to play elsewhere if we had Johnson to fill in on the left.

It's a smart transfer isn't it?

Agree with all of the above.

Overated. Mancini is a better judge of player than any of us, and he sees the guy day in day out. If he isn't picking him, its for a reason.

Decent player, but much better as an impact sub. Cant see him coming to WHL if he was going to sit on the bench like he's doing at City. Would be a cracking signing for Liverpool or Newcastle.

He is by no means a replacement for bale or Lennon, but what he does provide is a viable option when bale is knackered or when Lennon is crying about his hamstrings. Too often this season we have looked unbalanced when we play with only the 1 conventional winger, only the Newcastle and Liverpool games have we looked good with krancjaer in the side and other times we just haven't played with the same pace and ferocity.

Johnson is a conventional winger in the true sense and can beat a man pulling a central defender towards him thus opening up space for others to run into. I would gladly see him replace both midfielders krancjaer and pienaar, the latter I would keep as I think in the right system as everton has proved is a damn fine player.

We should only bring players in who are obsessed with winning .

Adam Johnson , whilst he has bags of skill , is not fixated on winning so would fit in perfectly at Tottenham .

How do you know this? What facts back this up?
