Genuinely interested to see how he gets on, I hope he helps Palace take some points from our rivals.

We probably have to make up the short fall up to £100k or whatever he was on.

Hopefully he'll score goals that will take points from our rivals.

Does that mean we stop paying his wages now?

I'd bet that the deal is that we had to approve what % of his wages that Palace were prepared to pay as we will have to pay the balance until June (less than the first half of the season admittedly).

So if Palace are paying £50k pw, we are paying the balance of £50kpw I'd guess

I guess whatever we are still paying it will be less then before and it could mean he scores goals against our rivals

Is Adebayor really any better than Connor Wickham? If you ignore the goals, the hold up play, the passing, the heading, the confidence he'll bring to the team, and the extra merchandise sales I don't think there's much in it for Palace. Strange signing

Ade has always responded well to being the main man and the old arm around the shoulder.

Pardew will kiss his ass and make him feel like he's the best in the world. Could be a great short-term signing for them.

Couldn't give a shit if it makes us looking bad for releasing him - but I seriously hope he stands out in the big games and scores a few against our rivals. He always loves playing against an ex-team, wouldn't put it past him to be up for the Arsenal and City matches.

Also I'm surprised he agreed to such a short contract. I thought they'd be looking at 18 months, minimum!

Could be that we are only covering the difference in wages until end of this season.
Palace probably can't afford the reported £35k per week increase for an extra season - yet!

Well Ade's not QUITE the Loic Remy they were hoping for, but hey, when the combined goals tally of your strikers is a pathetic ONE, you'll take any bastard you can.
