It's hard to disagree with him, to be fair. He comes across as diplomatic, well aware that his comments previously could have been taken in the most negative of manners.

Fair play to him and I'm by no means a great fan of his. But he's done the sensible thing here.

He said something that a lot of people have been saying for a while. Booing and tension in the crowd translates onto the pitch. Jim White called White Hart Lane a Palace of Whinge and that is exactly what it has become.

Why has it become that?

Can't argue with ade's comments because they are true to a certain extent but for...
To say they all love the club and are doing everything in their power to turn things around!
Don't make me laugh, we can see de effort ye put in on de field.
If ye are working as hard as ye can, they it must be that ter not good enough, faur enough, probably not good enough, but certainly better than newcastle, stoke, etc. If we can match their focus and desire

There is undoubtedly mental weakness, but I suspect the apparent lack of application has a lot to do with the intensity of Poch's training methods. In time this might pay off wih increased finess levels, but at the moment the players just look knackered. The Europa is not helping either; two players who played in Greece were apparently not selected for Stoke after complaining of extreme tiredness.

Because for the most part we are an over critical bunch of moaners that have very little patience?
Well, i'd suggest that it's several years of decreasing success, commitment and ambition from the team and management. But chicken/ egg. It's certainly a catch 22 whichever one considers the driving factor.

It always has been. I don't see it as a problem. When I was a kid it was the same. Paul Allen used to get crucified.

This is a proper football club. It's not playing at Wigan in front of 15k fans.

Give the ball away under no pressure you will get groans. Lose week after week at home you will get pelters. There is no where to hide at whl, deal with it.

Deal with it ... Maybe that is the problem, the players can't deal with it. Is it any surprise we don't get any where? Our own crowd can't support and help the players across the line? Palace have been shit for years but they still support the team. They make us look embarrassing in comparison. With half their support we might have actually done something in the last 10 years.

... and this hasn't happened suddenly. Even back in the 70s and 80s, it was always a more positive experience supporting Spurs on their travels. The team may have played poorly, but they were still our team, and we didn't seem to have the same irrational sense of entitlement as the crowd at WHL.

Could it be because we've picked up a lot of new fans in the last 7 years when things were picking up and getting better and now we've returned to mid table shit it's all new for them?
I do think ANY crowd will get pissed off if the team don't show any effort.
Its the one thing thats not acceptable anywhere.
I know they keep saying they're trying but there's trying and then theres trying. WTF lol.

Why do many on this site think Ade does nothing on the pitch? Last year he ran his bollocks off in most of the games I saw, tbh his fitness this year hasn't been the same but he's certainly not the laziest player on our team IMO I just don't get the constant sniping about laziness, maybe I need my eyes tested as I'm a definite minority in this view. :)
