Ade: “Don’t get me wrong, it’s been a difficult season for me with injuries but I feel I’m getting fitter now and it’s strange, I’m getting fitter and it’s the end of the season,” he added.
“We’ve two games to go and I will give everything I’ve got left in the locker.”

I think he's worth keeping around for next season. I'd love to see this team get a run

He's pulling the wool over us again, don't we ever learn what this guy is upto?

Get rid Daniel.

The way Vertonghen high fived him and Dawson gave him loads of encouragement 5 minutes after he scored it makes me think that there is plenty of things we don't know about.

It's no secret that Ade has found it difficult coming to terms with what happened to the Togo team bus and he said as much in an interview this year. Maybe personal problems have impacted on him this year. You'd have to think key members of the team wouldn't be as united with him if he was simply a lazy ****.

I dunno, he has one very good consistent year with us, and then a second season where he had no pre-season, got injured, missed games due to the ACN. If he had had a full pre-season and been fully fit and in the team all year and played as bad as he has all year then Id say get rid. But I think he's worth keeping, just as long as we get a first team CF too.

:stop:.....i couldn't give a toss if Vertonghen was having his fucking baby......all i know is most fans spend a large part of their hard earned money to fill the pockets of multi millionaire footballers like Ade....The minimum we ask as fans is effort, never mind goals which is what we pay him for...and at the moment, bar a game here or there, we are getting neither.

Maybe you should have a word with AVB then, he keeps playing him.

No no no no!! Football doesn't work that way!

The whole reason Ade is effective drifting to the left wing when he is playing as a central striker is because his marker(the opposition CB) won't follow him out that far. Therefore Ade has more freedom on the left as the oppo RB will be occupied with our left mid/winger/forward and the oppo centreback will be holding his own position.

If you start Ade on the left he will most probably get marked out the game by the right back and right mid. Football is about causing overloads against your opposition that is why having a fluid attack is so effective.

4 goals and one assist in his last 8 starts. He's not back to his best but he's clearly improving. He's started only 24 out of 52 games this season mostly due to fitness/acn. Again I'd say this season's a bit of a write off but I don't think he's not trying.

Ade struggles when Bale plays through the middle. Bale has the selfishness of a striker and there have been loads of opportunities where Bale could have laid goals on a plate for Ade this season, only for him to shoot (and often score) himself. IMO if Bale wants to play regularly through the middle then he needs to add a little more unselfishness to his game (before you all shoot me , no I'm not criticising Bale!)

Like the goal Ade scored last night, if Bale is playing through the middle then it's highly likely that it is Bale making that run with the ball, with Ade making the run Lennon made.

Also, some of Adebayor's runs have created space for Bale to move in to and allowed him the time and space to score so many goals. He flourished last season with crosses from Lennon and Bale and the creativity of VDV and Modric behind him. Holtby is nowhere near VDV in terms of flair - he still looks a shadow of the very promising young player at Schalke - but hopefully this will come. I personally think Bale's best position will be on the right of a 4-3-3, cutting inside on his strong foot like Ronaldo, Robben etc.

However, back to Ade. He seems to suffer from very fragile confidence. I remember reading countless articles where he talked about how much Harry used to big him up before games, telling him how good he was etc. You could see an instant difference once he scored that goal yesterday and I definitely think this plays a factor with him. Whereas Defoe is always confident, but goes through streaky patches, Ade has big swings in confidence and when he is low about his game, he's woeful, but when he is on it, he's one of the most difficult strikers to deal with in the league.

Unfortunately it's come too late in the season, but hopefully Ade can bag a couple more goals in the final two games and help us make sure we complete our side of the bargain at least.

After i have a word with DL ....AVB's hands are tied i think, i can't believe Ade was Avb's first or second choice, i think Avb had little choice.

Yeah, I'm sure when Daniel asked Villas Boas, "hey do you want the guy that was here last year, already knows the team, scored 18 and made 12 assists in 37 games and will cost 5mil" he was like 'Fucccck no that's a terrible idea!".

He had a choice yesterday.

Mate lets not mess about here....AVB wanted strikers in the last window, DL didn't deliver, he was left with Ade and JD, he is shuffling around dumb and dumber week by week, what do you expect Avb to do? both our forwards need replacing.Do you really think AVB rates either?

You think that was because we didn't really want him and not anything to do with Daniel haggling City into a gibbering mess?

If we didn't really want him, as you're implying, we're crazy. He was brilliant for us last season. At 5mil why on earth wouldn't we have wanted him? You seem determined on on revising history here to make out that we never wanted Ade. I'm' pretty sure he was first choice.

Your more than welcome to love the arse off him, rather you than me fella , after one decent game.

In answer to your question, and the last i say on it, as i have wasted too much of my time on a waster like Ade.

Football is a bubble, players, coaches, chairman talk, players get reputations, Ade has one of not being the same player once he gets his permanant move, maybe DL/ Avb had real reservations about him, maybe they tried to sign another striker, hence we failed to sign him untill we had no choice, maybe DL/Avb, after we failed in the market, took a gamble, which has infact backfired, maybe the rumours( that we even heard) we true, and Ade is just a **** who only puts it in when it suits him.

Ha ha ok, should pick up more next week. Still too much talk which i guess is ITK but nothing much that will come to fruition at this early stage. DL likes Remy.....AVB doesnt!! Ha ha rewind deja vous window ? depends on where we finish old chestnut will be trotted out.
I knew about Sir Alex going and also Moyes is done apparently!

Remy?? No please. Levy needs to let AVB get the fuck on with things TBFH.

That decoy run by lennon was the only thing he did, but is what opened up that angle for Ade high-pants.
