Has good control, would win us a few pens just being hacked down by defenders in the league.

Love his ability in the air, solid finishing on headers (besides that one right into the keeper's stomach LOL)

I wanted to sign him last Summer when he was on a free. Wonder what he'd cost today... :cautious:

I remember watching this guy play for the Spanish U21s. Always struck me as a really promising young player but his scoring stats are a bit disappointing. I'm not sure he was always played as a striker though, so that may be some excuse. His stats for last season were decent enough (19 goals in 55 games). He probably won quite a few penalties as well (which Falcao would have taken). I think he'd do well at Spurs.

ThInk he has had to play most of his games as a RW cutting in as Falcao quite rightly has the ST spot locked down. Great technical player tho. Would be a great signing. If the reports are true, hopefully we could wrap the deal up before the olympics :p

Looks like he could be preferable to Sturridge or Remy....as the forward who could play through the middle or as a RWF...

He'd be a good alternative to Lennon.

Exactly what we need to fit into AVBs preferred 433 system. A RWF who can also play as a central striker.

What sort of wedge do we think it would take to get him? I can't imagine he'd come cheap.

Although 11 of the 19 were in the Europa League. His league stats of 7 in 35 are less than impressive for a forward - although if he is mainly playing on the right in a 433 this might be more understandable.

He does mainly play on/from the right, Falcao plays though the middle and no one is going to displace him.

He'd be a good signing.

The Marca article said his release clause is 18m euro so more than last summer obviously but not too bad a price if he's any good.

This.

Adrian could play as the wide right striker/AM in AVB's 4-3-3.

He's always struck me as an efficient player - which doesn't sound like the greatest compliment.

I mean that he's not flashy or flamboyant, but he's effective, with a good end product.

He proved with the Spanish U21s that, if he has top players around him, he will score goals, partly because he's calm and composed, and intelligent at finding space.

Adrian is not a VDV or a Modric who will regularly produce a thrilling piece of skill. However, I could see him finishing a high proportion of chances for us.

Crucially, unlike Defoe, he has proved that he can play from the right, and his may be why the ITK suggests Defoe out, Adrian in.

would rather ask for £25-30m + Callejon from madrid personally but he is a tidy player

Surprised at the lack of stories linking Joselu with a money + player deal for Modric. That looks like a sure fire link to me!
