Advice when buying a new shirt.

To anyone interested in buying this season's shirt and getting a players name on the back of it......don't!

Get your own name on the back because you are worth a hell of a lot more to this club than any money grabbing footballer.

This is our club not theirs and we will be here long after they have gone.

I sold a lot of my old shirts (some for good money) but my sister had an old shirt with 'Sol Man' written on the back...

good luck selling that one. and those names are impossible to get off such a weak material.

Or just dont get a name on the back. Or get yourself a swanky tracky top instead, that way you will look more spursy. *I am the spursiest.*

Or if you do get a players name (which is pretty lame TBH) at least get someone who you won't regret, even if they leave. Forget Bale, VDV or Modric, go for Dawson, Keane, Lennon.

Only name i've ever had put on the back of a shirt is King

The others I have are Keane, Berbatov and Modric...lol!

I did this as I felt Keane would go on to be a club legend, Berbatov I always felt could leave but was the best striker at WHL since Klinsmann so I felt having a shirt of such a quality player even after he leaves would be nice. Sadly he left in acrimonious circumstances.

Modric I thought would stay for a long time and ditto with Berbatov sentiment, I felt he would go on to Barcelona or Milan or Madrid and we could celebrate him as a great player for us who moved onto the biggest teams in Europe. Sadly he is only going to the shit on the other side of London and IMO his career will nosedive dramatically

I have most certainly learned my lesson
