All those slagging off the THST, at least they are trying. Writing know it all angry rants on the internet will achieve nothing but reinforce your sense of superiority. If you want something changed, go and change it.

I think most on here respect what the trust have tried to do myself included even though it wont achieve nothing.

Thing is, if the trust were aggressive and asked too many difficult questions then the club wouldn't meet with them. I'd rather get some info rather than completely zero so at least they are trying.
What "info" have we actually got though? Aside from the Real Madrid trivia, most of the rest of it is nothing new on what we already know. It's mostly a brush off.

I don't think anybody doubt the passion of the fans who run the Trust. It's for that very reason that I'd like them to be a bit more probing. After all, the club could only then tell them to eff off, and it's not as if that would substantially increase the already severely lacking flow of information from the club...plus it would give the club some pretty bad publicity and they wouldn't be likely to do it anyway.

Time for the trust to get tough IMO.

Last item on the minutes. It's there.

No takeover talks - not interested in selling. Not sure what else could be discussed?
Wasn't the last item. Buried in the middle. Found it though using the find feature. We know that is untrue however. Lammy confirmed as such(y)

Also found this which I had missed earlier
  • In terms of short term strategy, THFC explained that funds were available at the end of the season to spend on players. Obviously, should the Club progress in various cup competitions or finish higher up the league, this amount would increase, along with any other monies from player trading

I laughed. Daniel did too probably.

I think it was remiss of Levy not to expand on it further. Perhaps he could have listed all the reasons that ENIC were not ready to sell at the moment. Maybe he could have put a timeline on when they are ready to sell: ideally naming a specific date and time.

Good try, good effort but that wasnt funny.

It was an answer that there is no way you can expand on. Unfortunately for the club, we know that answer is not true.

All they had to say was "We aren't actively looking to sell but we have been approached a couple of times." At least that would be true. But saying "no takeover discussions" is not true and they know that.

But do we? You seem convinced but in of itself, that doesn't make it a fact. Unless....you're not behind this US consortium are you?

Yes, we do. Lammy confirmed as such this week. The club also did when they continued to release the required info when Cain Hoy publicly announced interest. It is clear ENIC has been in discussions with different groups this year. What is not clear is the extent of those discussions. It is fine if the club just did not want to comment at the time, but say so instead of knowingly lying that you havent.

Actually that's a fair point because Lammy did mention on TS that he had contact with interested parties (although we don't know what contact those parties have had with Spurs). I forgot about that.

For example off the top off my head, that the stadium design isn't changing so no new planning permission, which had been rumoured, will need to be currently launched.

What exactly were people expecting?

If the club says we aren't for sale, people don't believe them, then ask Levy to say if the club is for sale or not! I don't mind a level of distrust - things change, actions speak louder than words etc - but you cannot have it both ways. You either pay no attention to anything the club says and therefore don't ask them for anything, or you do listen to what they say and you can ask for more.

No supporters' trust gets absolute nuggets, commitments or contracts written in blood from the board of their clubs, it's all about building a relationship, making the club aware of fan concerns (as the minutes show, the club was not fully up to speed with regards communication issues) and opening up lines of contact when urgent matters come to a head.

Lets be real. The club knew EXACTLY how the fans felt way before hand. If they didn't they would have all been living under a rock with a giant bubble around it blindfolded with music blaring.

They didn't know the fans didn't know/understand the complexities over the stadium design. Naturally they knew we weren't happy with performances on the pitch, and a general level of communication off it, but we can't be all "if you don't know what's wrong I wont tell you"

Tbf, every fan has been under the impression the design had changed due to KSS coming out saying we left them and went with Populous instead saying something to the effect of us wanting to add to the seating capacity as the reason we went elsewhere.

Also because the last design model we've seen was released like 3 or 4 years ago
