It wears me out. Week after week of getting excited, then worried, having my hopes raised, checking the BBC Gossip Column every single day and the Tottenham Hotspur Newsnow site every hour at work. Anybody else wish it could all just be over and you wake up tomorrow and it's the end of August? New signings in place.........old players shipped out........just accept Harry's judgement.

Yep, it's bugging the crap out of me. I'm wasting too many waking hours trawling through football websites hoping for some minute speck of gossip on Spurs. Hopefully we'll do all our business early (this week) and I can get back to work and relax again

id rather have the team sorted before pre-season training, if last year didnt teach us anything, bring in players and sellling them affects the team and they need time to settle in. With all the talk of bent bently etc going i would have expected them to have left already, but i think this is what is holding up us signing anyone. In the past few years the board has done well getting in the main targets modric, berbasulk, gio, bentley were brought in well before the preseason had started. its a shame they havent done anything yet.

if you get a job working 14 hrs a day delivering fish around the south west you don't find the time to get worked up about it ;) its great not having the internet sometimes.

its a catch 22 for some people; the need to have all this news about all these transfers and yet the knowledge that we dont really need much - HH himself said 2 or 3 additions and I for one hope thats the case....

But better here than cluttering up ITK Discussion—where worryguts whingeing and wailing is going to be deleted as spam from now on.

I'm pretty relaxed about our summer transfer dealings. Once Harry got a settled side together that included Wilson and not Zok, we played good stuff, got good results, and climbed the table. I think we would have been 5th or 6th if you extrapolated our points per game since Wilson arrived. So clearly our squad is strong, and capable of challenging next year. Also the benefits of not having wholesale changes are enormous in terms of teamwork and understanding.

All I want to see is upgrades of Bent and Zokora (with them leaving), and a left midfielder come in. That is it for me. If the likes of Gilberto, O'Hara and Chimbonda get shipped out too then so be it.

I hate the transfer window because its usually the most exciting time of the year for a Spurs fan and thats really sad.

This one is quiet. Most players are back from holls. Still no inked deals..

Strange.

Looks like no one wants the Spurs fringe players.

I always feel a bit on edge waiting to see what's going to happen. You know though that someone you don't want to go, will go, and someone will be brought in that you wouldn't want brought in! I'm happy to trust Harry though, and remain open minded.

So far there are only a handful of clubs who have made moves in the market, with Madrid obviously being the leaders to date. We're hardly being left behind.

I get just as excited each morning, logging onto SC and waiting to see if the ticker comes up with new number for me to digest (come on 98!), but I'm not panicking yet. Yes, we could do with a newly completed squad on the first day of training but it's just unrealistic at the moment, especially as we seem to be waiting on everyone else to start the ball rolling.

That said we'll probably sign someone by the time I've written this post. :)
