Dutch giants Ajax have approached Tottenham about the possibility of taking winger Steven Bergwijn back to his home country in the new year.

If the reports are right that he wants to go back for personal reasons he might as well go. If we could reach a deal that involved Anthony or Gravenbach coming our way I'd be delighted.

That would give us a player fighting with Lucas for a first spot and someone who can play as a 9 when Kane needs to be rested.

I think if Bergwijn does leave, we'll need to improve our HG quota.

This isn’t just new manager bounce this is a world class coach improving our players.

Nuno and Jose held back so many of them through either not giving them enough confidence or not helping them to be fit enough or to have tactics that enabled them to be effective individually but also within the team structure.

Our players aren’t perfect and we do need to improve the squad but I always thought a lot of our players were playing no where near the level they could be under Jose and Nuno.

I do agree largely, although we do need a few 'upgrades'.
