This has probably been done before, but I just had to vent my spleen after an annoying afternoon! I've just spent my drive home from a weekend away stuck behind all of Devon and Somerset's worst Sunday drivers listening to Alan Green commentating on the Wigan v Citeh game and shouting at my radio. At one point he was having a massive rant about players wearing blade style studs because "It's just fashion. It's just fashion!". I think Adidas ought to get hold of world class boot-innovator, Alan to design the new Predators!

He's like the annoying drunk twat in the pub who has an opinion on everything, usually complete bollocks, but wants everybody to know about it.

I think it's the way he berates any bad pass, cross or shot with such spitting fury "shocking", "dire", "diabolical". I reckon he could make the 1970 Brazil team sound like a bunch of pub team leg breakers.

He supports Pool and hates Fergie....or rather Fergie hates him, cos he's so flippin' biased in favour of the Scousers.

He's a cantankerous old git, and how he gets away with ponificating on a weekly basis on the BBC is beyond me? That they still have Green and the dreary Mike Ingham as their No.1 commentators when they have very good commentators like Simon Brotherton and Steve Wilson on their staff is a complete mystery. :shrug:

It's when he sneers at having to drive down to Wembley to get paid to commentate on a Cup Final or for an England Match that sickens me. :roll:

And like most critics who can dish it out, he cannot take it back, and if anyone dares to criticise him on 6-0-6 he cuts them off straight away.
At least on talkSHITE they do accept criticism, and one presenter will criticise another, as Ian Wright and Adrian Durham did this week of Stan *the dogger* Collymore, for going OTT about Ronaldo, and calling him a "blatant cheat".

I've disliked Green ever since I heard him describe Dalglish as "the greatest player of his generation", and Hoddle didn't even get a mention.
