The story up here in scotland guys is that tottenham want rangers goalkeeper alan mccregor don't know how true it is but a few scottish papers are going with the story. Supposedly there has been contact and scouts will be watching him in wednesday's old firm game and there will be a £5m bid.

I suspect he's just one in a long list of potential goalkeeping targets. Havn't seen him play but by all accounts he's had a good season.

I hope that we've narrowed down our targets by the end of the season because a keeper really should be our number 1 priority.

I think we've heard small rumours that we're interested in Allan before, looks like a pretty good keeper, definitely one to look at. Plus, he's good friends with Hutton, so hopefully he can convince him.

Yeah having watched a lot of Boruc and (not as much of McGregor but, enough) I just think Boruc is the better keeper although he is completely crazy and won't let our lilly livered defense get away with anything. :lol:

Ah, fair enough. I haven't seen all that much of Boruc to be honest. McGregor reminds me of the old Paul Robinson. Whatever happened to him...

We haven't had a decent goalkeeping coach for about 10 years at least probably more. We have become the team not to go to if you are a goalkeeper because we have ruined that many of them. :-(


I still can't believe we don't have a dedicated first team gk coach.

One very good save, is that all. What about videos that show how good he is at commanding his area? Or his decision making? Or his distribution? Even some of the poor goalkeepers in football make the odd world class save. One youtube video can't be used to judge a player.

there doesn't really seem to be many videos of him around m8 but if you doubt him you should look at how many european shut outs he's had this season quite a few i'd suggest including lyon away,barcelona home, in the champions league. There also wasn't that many videos of hutton going around and quite a few of you's were doubting him because he played in scotland. Mickey mouse league and so on a good player is a good player regardless of what league they play in imo.

Oh no don't get me wrong he is a good keeper and I wouldn't be upset if we signed him, it just I think if we were to go for a keeper from north of the border it should be Boruc.

i actually think boruc is a better keeper aswell but he would cost 12m and there is talk of ac milan and bayern munich wanting him.

Hutton has raved to his old Ibrox mates about life in the Premiership and has urged them to join him there if they get a chance. McGregor knows Rangers will decide what happens next if they receive any bids for him.
