I’d imagine 50mill all in one chunk would appeal to a cash strapped Inter way more than 60mill over 4-5yrs?

Maybe not, but curious to know.

Got to use it all by the end of the year……so yeah basically I think we’ll be looking to do couple deals paying at least a large upfront sum.

Agreed, but we're addressing LWB at the moment, Bastoni is a deal you don't hang around with, he's highly sort after and clearly Conte's no 1 pick so you get the deal done as quickly as possible.

I agree with both of you that wing backs are of primary importance. It's Spence for the right? That would mean the end of Doc I guess? I'm not super convinced by Spence, but if that who the club has identified, so be it.

Spence is a gamble as he's only had one good season and that's in a lower league, however he did produce great performances against woolwich and Leicester in the FA cup, so that is something to take into account when considering him.

I still can’t believe we may actually land him, what a crazy purchase. With the addition of Bastoni and Perisic we would almost have the best back line in the league. Spence, if we get him, being the biggest gamble.

I honestly believe this chap will be the *most important piece of the jigsaw.

Can't explain why but he has that stature, presence of reassurance in a defense that will take no prisoners.

Selfishly....the one that I want the most. Will set a tone in a fiercely competitive league next season.

It would also be a massive statement. Possibly the biggest statement signing we could realistically make this window. I'm absolutely desperate for it to happen.
