Aaaaaaaand for those who don't speak Italian....

Tullio Tinti exclusively at @tvdellosport on #Bastoni: "He is a huge fan of the team he plays for, he likes to be at # Inter. But he is also a professional, this is football and you also have to adapt. He is delighted to play for Inter, he has the shirt on his skin "#THFC

That’s good news from the agent. If Inter need to take the deal he’ll go despite being happy to stay. Seems like it’s on us.

So basically he'd love to stay at Inter if it was possible, but he's a professional footballer and if they have to move him on they'll "adapt" to the new club.

Pretty much what I have made of the situation up to this point anyways.

I dont want a player that doesnt want to come
I don't think that he doesn't like the idea of us, but imo the driving factor will be Conte and if he's not here in 1 or 2 years what happens then? We'd need to get him accustomed quickly, have him learn the language and maybe bring in a fellow Italian of a similar age. Perhaps Scamacca would be a legitimate option. If he's not adapted to life here by the time Conte leaves then we're in trouble, regardless of how well he is playing.

Good news. If he didn’t want to leave the agent would have said so by now and would have shut it down.

He’s playing for his boyhood club. It’s more he wants to stay rather than not want to specially join us. But unfortunately they’re up shit creek so he’s in a weird position where leaving might be the best thing for the team he supports.

Promising signs. Feels like it's been a drip feed over the last few days from both player and Inter to show that it's a deal they don't really want to do, but might simply have to do.
