Shit... Wasn't he injured during a national team game? I haven't been following England much, but it feels like many players from other teams are suddenly injured when there's a NT break..

Feels like he's the forgotten man in many ways, with Alli's rise to prominence, Lamela coming good and Onamah looking like a stud. He was he one player we were all excited to see this season, I hope he gets back fit and gets games, otherwise it's another wasted year in his career development. Last season was a loan too far, he should have been integrated then in my humble opinion

Whilst some of us who follow his progress through the youth process may agree with you let's not forget last season's loan is the main reason for people calling for his inclusion to the team. Brentford loan was just right for his progress

He's about two weeks away according to the latest Tottenham Way podcast. One of the podcast crew was given a pass to Hotspur Way and was able to chat with Pritchard himself who gave the estimate

Perhaps the question was misunderstood by pritch?

So Alex, what are your thoughts on 2016?

I hope the injury hasn't taken too much out of him. It looked quite bad at the time but I doubt anyone expected him to be out this long.

I just worry that with so many people moaning about Carroll and him being lightweight against Newcastle, those same people will be moaning about Pritchard's size too. He's smaller than Carroll yet survived the Championship.

Pritchard won't be expected to control things in CM though will he? Totally different position.

I don't care if he's lightweight. We need more guile in the final third and I'm looking forward to see what he's all about as I've heard good things, even though I've never seen him play.

Did really well for Brentford watched him a few times
If he can replicate it and obviously improve he might just have a shot at regular first team football.

There were plenty of moans about Modric being "too lightweight", it hasn't done him any harm has it? All this too lightweight stuff is a load of bollocks, if a player is good enough for the PL then he will be good enough to sidestep tackles and keep the ball away from opponents just as Modric does. Another classic example is Mahrez, hardly built like a tank but just watch defenders make fools of themselves trying to tackle him and get the ball off him.

Obviously I agree. I've never complained about his size.

So he must be close to small sided games during training? That's good news.

That will probably signal the end for Tommy tbf. I think we'll let him go in the summer. Love the kid, but we can only really use him in the A3 now in the prem. imo, and the competition is just gonna be too hot there for him.

I see him as quite a thick set short player.

Ideal body habitus for an attacking mid in the modern game. Short legs with good upper body build provides for a low and fortified center of gravity, which can be a nightmare for a tall defender to dislodge from the ball without fouling. He's perfect for the No 10 position, as his tenacity combined with quick movements is fantastic for a high press, and of course his agility and vision is superb for offensive creation. Really looking forward to this kid returning to the fold, and I hope Poch is willing to give him a chance.
