Only one player allowed from each team and that player must be selected at one of their peak clubs. (e.g. you can't select Pires as a Villa player)

Drogba (Chelsea) Shearer (Blackburn)
Ginola (Newcastle) Fabregas (Arsenal) Gerrard (Liverpool) Ronaldo (Man Utd)
Baines (Everton) King (Spurs) Kompany (City) Kelly (Leeds)
VanDer Sar (Fulham)

For some reason I've posted this in 'Chat' ... the weekend can't come soon enough  Feel free to move it 'General Football' mods.

I know, i know ... i just couldn't leave him out. We all know he's a Spurs legend but in fairness to Newcastle, they brought him to the PL.

Can't really have King and Ginola by your own rules because you can't really argue that Ginola had a better time then when he was voted player of the year and won his only trophy in English football, not to mention the incredible achievement of getting loads of goals out of Iversen and Armstrong in his final year.

Also, Van Der Saar was better with United than with Fulham (and there for longer, and won loads). I think someone's a little cheater ;)

I hold my hands up, you've got me  . However i did put the 'peak clubs' caveat in there.

Good shout with Mellberg. I'd be tempted to put him in at right back.

I'm going to go with a 3-4-3 that is going to be involved in a lot of basketball scores.

Henry (Arsenal) Alan Sherear (Newcastle) Drogba (Chelsea)
Harry Kewell (Leeds) Gerrard (Liverpool) YaYa Toure (City) Ronaldo (United)
Ledley King (Spurs) Des Walker (Sheffield Wednesday) Paul McGrath (Aston Villa)
Brad Friedel (Blackburn)

This was really tough, so many players i wanted to put in but couldn't work it out. Will anyone pick Giggs over Ronaldo? RVP over Henry? Too many good players have come from Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea.

I really wanted to put Scholes in there but it's difficult to pick any other United players ahead of Ronaldo, arguably the best player to play in the Prem.

Exactly, From Man Utd alone you could justifiably have Ronaldo, Giggs, Scholes, Rooney, Cantona, Keane, Cole, Yorke, Van Nistelrooy, G. Neville, Bruce, Ferdinand, Schemichael, Beckham and i'm sure loads of others, all of whom can make claims to have been the best player in their positions in the Prem.
