We’ve had no decent second striker option basically since Defoe left (and I’m not including Carlos ‘hat trick against amateur teams’ Vinicius deliberately)

Anyone turning their nose up at signing Spain’s starting number 9 on loan (!!) needs to really come back down to earth with their expectations imo.

He could work very well in a 2 with Kane due to his creativity and attacking versatility. And yes, he’s a poor finisher, but he could definitely spell Kane and let him rest for 20 mins a game/against shit like Burnley.

This. He would be miles and miles and miles better than any backup striker we’ve had in all of Kane’s years. Would be a phenomenal loan signing.

Yeah agree. The majority of the latest names being linked do very little in helping resolve our main issues in the team. Whilst Morata is far from perfect, he's an experienced striker and a target man which would definitely give us another option we dont have.
On loan til the end of the season is a no brainer for me.

I love Stevie but he cannot play as a lone CF if Kane or Son get injured. Having Morata on a 6 month loan gives us options until the summer.

I’m assuming Trix’s comment suggests it’s a no go.

Shame in some ways. I am not the biggest fan of Morata - he’s simply not clinical enough. However, he has something about him. Some of his hold up play, ability to get into space is better than we give credit for.

When you look at the clubs he’s been to, the managers he’s worked under there is a good endorsement for the work he does.

Apologies I've only read the OP not the article. Should have made that clear. I've deleted it as I can see it could cause confusion.

Ah. Sorry mate. I probably misread and didn’t want to sound like I was fishing either!
