It's not the fact he lost the ball, its the way he gave up trying to retrieve it, that was criminal.
That annoys people, and im sure MP noticed aswell.
Townsend may well be a star in the making, but not here mate.
He isn't going to get game time doing what he does.
If he wants to progress and play for England, he's going to need a change of scenery.

So its ok to lose the ball and say fcuk it let the right back deal with it?
You don't understand MP system, it you lose and try to win it back then ok.
But to stop running and start jogging is a no no.
Yes the right back was at fault as well, but make no mistake it was Townsend s error.

Lost a tackle? He tried to dribble as last man on the right side fully aware that Dier had pushed up on the pitch.

thought he started off running, but slowed down towards the end.

Also think Dier played him into a bit of trouble. Just comes on, and gets given the ball with very little options open to him, but he didnt do well in the situation
