I don't take any offence at people doubting the likelihood of anything I post. Especially around transfers. The percentage of initial enquiries that become Spurs players is definitely single digits. This is a forum and we are here to discuss and debate!

As I've said before, my information doesn't come from the scouting or acquisition side of the club so I rarely have high probability transfer information before it hits the media. However on the odd occasion I'm told we are in discussions with a club over a player it's only fair that I share that with you. Whether the person in question becomes a Spurs player is a whole other matter. I think we have all seen enough deals come and go over the years to know that these things are not done until they are done.

The fact we have bid for Martial must mean we have the requisite funds and are interested in a player of his ilk. Beyond that I can't promise anything. Only POTL ever had nailed on transfer info. However I think the fact we are trying to sign an attacking player of his quality can only be a good thing.

Martial aside, it sounds like there will be some bananas this week so hopefully not just a 3rd keeper!

And transfers aside the most important thing is a win tomorrow.

I'm not greedy, I'll take a win today.

would have made a big difference today but PLEASE stop dreaming.
People get hopes up of the "gamechanger" comment which whilst it would be nice, is clearly some feedback coming from Levy PR team to try and appease the fans, they can say "we tried"

been here before....

We have 0 chance of signing Martial, in fact if we sign him this window I will donate £50 to SC.

Martial would just be perfect for us and yes I would sell Rose to get him he is just what we need, and I would rather him that a half arsed rose which its going to be until next summer when he inevitably leaves.

I think we have some good players lined up according to reliable ITK but still feel we are missing this game changer, just a shame that I don't expect us to get one as we have been missing this player for years... just hope Kane and Eriksen stay fit.

If rose is going to united, we need to get martial in return. I would be happy if we got aurier and sessegnon to counter it too.

Knee-jerk.

Rose is what we needed today, not Martial.

Is it not fair to say we needed both?

I've long held the opinion that at least one of Rose and Walker is needed to really make the 3 at the back formation work for us.

No doubt though we also need an attacking player who can drive at the opposition defence, take on players and has a threat in the final third.

Yes, I'm not denying we could do with a pacey forward a la Martial. I just think saying something like "swap him for Rose" is incredibly knee-jerk and short sighted given how much we clearly need attacking wing-backs.

I think we can have both Rose and a decent WF. It just doesn't have to be Martial

All this talk of Danny Rose leaving will not happen. We currently have a 21 man squad with 7 homegrown players meaning we can have a maximum squad of 24 if we do not sign another (probably Barkley) With the names being identified there is no way we will sell a homegrown player.

Told what they are asking for is well beyond reason.
Given the current market you can't blame them. When he left Monaco he was their Mbappe. Watching Sig go for 45makes him a 70-90m player maybe more in this market given age.
