Lennon and Routeledge is another example and Lenny was a lot less experienced than both Skipp and Sarr.
I think they'll be fine and will (hopefully) surprise a few people.
I'm definitely far more concerned by the quantity of CMs available than the quality. No CM on the bench tonight...

I do fear an early yellow for one of them trying too hard to impress, which puts us in real trouble. They need to be super disciplined tonight which is a hard ask from two youngsters.
Currently looks like there's no danger of anyone getting booked, however many fouls they commit.

Doesn't matter, Conte doesn't use the bench anyway, apart from subbing CBs when we need a goal.
That's just not true though. Without checking, I'm confident in saying Conte has subbed on at least one CM during every single match this season (until tonight that is).

I was being overly dramatic for comedic effect, yes. But my point was he has a core 11 and rarely strays outside that unless he has to.

Watching young players grow over the course of the season(s) is probably my favourite part of watching football. Both players did very well in a difficult situation.
