3rd or 4th on 71-73 pts. Arsenal win the league though. Also I've been doing the bbc predictor every week lately & I always have West Ham staying up too :(

1 Man Utd . . . 38 . . 46 . . 81
2 Chelsea . . . 37 . . 41 . . 71
3 Arsenal . . . .37 . . 33 . . 70
4 Spurs . . . . . 37 . . 18 . . 68
5 Man City . . ..38. . 25. . . 67
6 Liverpool . . .38 . . . 9 . . 60

Should we beat Arsenal at home, we'd go 3rd, potentially joint second depending on the score of Chelsea's final match, although I'm not sure who that was against.

Although, it's worth noting that I did that predictor before the Bolton game and had us down as beating Bolton but drawing to Sunderland, so we're already two points up on my prediction. I also had Chelsea to beat Liverpool, so they're three points down too.

Which is the whole reason that these thar thangs are such a goddammit waste of time...seemingly designed primarily for pessimists to make there pessimism appear more reasoned:roll:

i have us 3rd 5 points behind arsenal, 12 points behind united, but 6 points clear of chelsea and city with chelsea claiming 4th on goal difference.

However... i also have us and arsenal having only played 37 games, as our fixture is not on the list it seems? Not that it makes any difference as the result wouldnt move us neither up nor down, and i was going to have a draw for that one anyway.

Ah SP, they're just a bit of fun. And if it shows anything, for me, its that everything is bloody close at the moment.

I don't think having us only three points away from 2nd place is me trying to make my pessimism appear more reasoned.

In fact, if anything, doing that predictor has given me more confidence in the fact that, not only will Spurs finish in the top 4 again, but with a couple of decent results in the big games (I had us down as losing away to Chelsea, Liverpool AND Man City) then we could quite realistically finish 2nd.

Besides, it's just a bit of fun.

1 - It's not me, some folk think it's REAL:eek:mg:
2 - It is, the problem is that if I did it I would have us taking maximum points from all of our remaining games, bar one which would be a draw, and winning the EPL, that's me being optimistic, but I recognise that and so don't think there is any point in it. Some folk don't seem to realise that it is going to indicate nothing more than their own nature.
3 - Funnily enough, I don't need any 'waste-of-time predictor thang' to tell me it's bluddy close:wink:

The general comment that they are a waste of time, as evidenced, more specifically to you, by the fact that almost immediately your final outcomes would be way out, was aimed at you.
I didn't say everyone who does it is pessimistic - that was aimed at a lot of 'other' posters ^^^see response to Jounds.
I repeat, I don't need any 'waste-of-time predictor thang' to giveme confidence. or tell me that with a couple of decent results...blah, blah, blah:wink:

I agree, I'm more confident having done it, and sincerely believe we'll finish in the top 4 (3rd). However, what it has highlighted most for me is the cracking run of games we'll have with all the teams involved. For the first time in my 20 years as a Spurs supporter the results of all the top teams matter for us. It's going to be a brilliant end to the season!
