In my opinion - he's the man to patrol the left wing, while Holtby/Eriksen do centre and Lamela / Townsend terrorise the right!

Against the big teams I would play him in the middle like he does for Belguim.

Townsend Chadli Lamala

Dembele Capoue
Chadli attacking the space left by the 2 wingers cutting inside is what makes him dangerous for Belguim. Of course this would be a good counter attacking team. Possibly Holtby/Paulinho/Sandro instead of Dembele

Same place as rose probably.

Haven't seen enough from him in the games he has played to suggest he is the answer, but he won't make us any worse. Still want to see Townsend tried on the left and lamela right with holtby/eriksen central myself.

Now I'm no footballing scout, or a coach, and have only ever played as high as non-league... but I've been watching Spurs long enough that I like to think that I gained a sense for who I think will make it at Spurs or not. And I'm afraid I just don't think Chadli is that good. Reminds me a bit of Taarabt.

Sorry. I accept any neg rep.

Must have been non-league relegation! :bag: . Only joking.

I think it's a bit harsh to be judging Chadli just yet. Give him a run in the team without injuries and I'm sure he will come good. You don't play for the current Belgium team unless you're a decent player. As for Taarabt... he's never had a professional mindset. He's a street baller on pro wages. Unfortunately for him managers have realised he wont make the top grade and will slowly drift down the leagues or back to France.

Best description I've ever seen of Taarabt

From what I've seen, I wouldn't say that he's anything like Taarabt. Very different players, IMO.

I agree, though, that Chadli has done little that's especially impressive in a Spurs shirt thus far. But I'm not worried about that. He hasn't had anything like a decent run in the team and has suffered from niggling injuries. Besides, plenty of very good, or even great, players get off to slow starts at new clubs. I remember that even Chris Waddle took quite a while before showing Spurs fans what a great player he was.

Hopefully he will be back soon and get some time on the pitch. I think he can become a rock solid player if he gets the time. Much more of a creative force on the wing than Lennon or Townsend and he actually knows how to cross the ball properly.

Unfounded.

Chadders has looked very composed the FEW times he's played. When you've got players that cost double/treble what he did fooking up left, right and centre, I think it's unfair to criticise him so harshly. Especially given the limited playing time he's had.

Lets be fair after just three and half months or so at the club, none of the newer players should be getting neg reps.

But we are but flesh and blood and deeply flawed as a species.
