Anyone else happy that Murray is out of US Open?

I don't what you guys and gals think of this twat but ever since his Wimbledon gaff of 'supporting anyone but England' in the WC, I have hated him with passion. He's a miserable, depressing, self loathing spoilt git. I don't care he's the only UK tennis player with any chance of winning anyrthing. He clearly doesn't appreciate his home supporters (mainly England), and showed his hand with colour.

Never mind the fact he was 18, and he was merely responding to an idiot journalist winding him up about Scotland's failure to qualify for the World Cup, he made one naive comment 5 years ago so now he's a prick and we all hope he dies. What a load of old bullocks. His home supporters are Scottish, not English. He responded to a question - end of. Nothing wrong in what he said, he was clearly joking anyway and it doesn't matter even if he wasn't joking. I'm fully behind Murray - hope he can eventually win a grand slam.

I don't like him but that's because he's a miserable so and so not because of his perceived 'anti-Englishness'. As has been said he's Scottish so why should he support England? If the fans at Wimbledon support him that's their choice not his.

He'll never win a grand slam tournament though. He's been unlucky that he's been around in the Federer/Nadal era but others have managed grand slam wins in that time and he doesn't seem to quite have the mental toughness to go that last step. Henmanitis as I like to call it. Very good player (better than Henman by some way I think) but not quite good enough.

I had just said to someone, yesterday, that Murray could win a few tournaments this year, because he seems to have developed mentally and physically.....and what does he do....loses!
At one stage he was 1/9 to beat Wawrinka....then he was 10/11...the high early expectations went to shit!
