It would be nice if West ham saw Arsenal as their rivals.
I enjoy our traditionally rivalry with Arsenal. It's fun to hate them and them us. It's all good banter

West ham however are just all round vile and small, and I don't like how theyve maneuvered themselves as us being their big rival

My gut feeling is that Spurs will be above Arsenal permanently now if Wenger is not replaced.

I agree and disagree. Spurs will dominate north London for years now, though not permanently, but it won't be down to Wenger. We're a better organisation right through and about to move into a bigger stadium.

There a miserable bunch, arsenal fans so doom and gloom seasons not over. Arsenal never pushed on after the invincibles. I think there is s huge mental problem at the club, Spurs look hungry and up for war, I have watched so many lacklustre Arsenal games now I consider drawing to arsenal 2 points dropped that shows how far we have come.

Man united away I looked at the team it was the worst Man U team
I have ever seen and united out fought them and won, Arsenal had no fight or passion. They have never sorted out there defence till they get a quality CB or two and a good devencive midfield I really can't see how they won't get worse. The world can see arsenal need 3 players CB, CM, striker and make no effort to sign them.

To top this off I can see players leaving in the summer with rumours Sanchez, ozil are looking to go. normally it's us struggling to keep our player. There's a shift happening however I think with vdv, bale, modric,Parker the shift started we just f£clef it up. Let's hope we can keep moving fowards and Arsensl backwards.

Well hold on a minute, we are 8 points ahead and they have a game in hand, they've won back to back FA cups and shown they can compete in more than one. We are having a good season in the league but hold fire on dominating for years.

I can't believe you're not seeing the underlying trend. This isn't just a fly-by-night thing.

I am not saying its fly by night thing, just that its far to early to talk about domination over Arsenal. I am not really bothered about domination over Arsenal tbh. I want us to win trophies.

Agree anything can happen, but if we can keep everything we have together, from the Manager to the Players, we seem to have a great set up in place so onwards, hope to live the dream.

Lets get through this season before we talk about dominating seasons to come. West Brom at home, focus.

I was just going to go into one about how the season hasn't finished, it's only one season etc etc then noticed this was written by a Gooner.

LMAO!

So agree - cheated their way into position Should have been relegated after the Teves saga and used unfair, possibly illegal methods to gain a football capacity on the tax payers backs.
Sorry to be a bore but it really is a gob smacking travesty

I can't help but be reminded of the scene in the film Rush where Daniel Bruhl's Niki Lauda recounts his Doctor's advice to Chris Hemsworth's James Hunt, "Stop thinking of it as a curse to have been given an enemy in life. It can be a blessing, too. A wise man gets more from his enemies than a fool from his friends...So don't let me down now. I need you busting my balls. Get back to work." This is exactly what Arsenal represent: that reminder to always be on that razor's edge.

As much as I dislike Arsenal, Chelsea, West Ham et al, I can't help but look forward to matches like this & as much as it pains me, we need them to be strong. Against our rivals & the rest for that matter, we learn where we are strong & where we are not, so that we can constantly seek ways to improve.

Having such fierce rivals enables us to sharpen our focus; run that little bit further; train that little bit longer; work that little bit harder.

Providing we hold our own I am not really that bothered by what other teams do......apart from when they play us. Is it really that important. Rivalry is important but sometimes takes the place of common sense. I am a proud Spurs supporter that's all that's important to me, come rain or come shine, although it can be infuriating at times. We are on the up and long may it continue. Keep this Manager and squad together is a priority as the new stadium will have some sort of drain on our financial resources. Once the stadium is complete we will hopefully impove again.

The fact that this was written by a Gooner doesn't surprise me at all. People go on about how entitled Arsenal fans are, but the character attribute that most annoys me about most of them is their transparently self-serving pragmatism. The entire reason a "holiday" like St. Totteringham's Day even exists is a reflection of the fact that Arsenal just haven't won a lot in the past decade, and that if they are to celebrate anything, it has to be something contrived rather than concrete. Instead of acknowledging their lack of recent success, they instead invent new and easier ways to measure it, like calling fourth place a "trophy" or by focusing so much on how Spurs are doing. To them a rivalry isn't really a rivalry; it's a means for them to big themselves up since their results can't provide for that same smugness. And now that we are on the up and they seem to be on the verge of a precipitous decline, they have to turn to other teams like West Ham (who may overtake them soon enough) in order to experience the one-sided rivalries that validate their existence as fans of a "big club". We were brave enough to take them on time and time again when they were the best team in England; now that we're among the big boys (hopefully to stay), Arsenal fans won't be able to get away from us quickly enough.

I was going to post on another thread yesterday that imo if we want to hold onto players then next season, regardless of how good the football we're playing is or if we get top 4, we need to bloody win something.
Someone post the other day we're looking fantastic but City have won league cup, Liverpool may win Europa, Man U may win FA cup while, despite the achievement of where we are, we haven't won anything.
Of course Liverpool and Man U may win fk all and we might win the league but to keep this squad and not win anything next season would be disappointing.

Let's not get carried away with this. I'm loving being ahead of the scum and I'll be even happier when (note I'm not saying if) we finish in front of them. We've been ahead of them before in April and blown it and every year I say this time it's different. I genuinely believe that this season but I believed it when we had Bale and Modric too. Sadly they will be back.

I wouldn't write them off just yet. They've emerged from their stadium debt that we are just about to get started on ours so they'll still enjoy a financial edge on us for a while.

Getting rid of Wenger could be what they need or they could end up in crisis like ManU. I think that uncertainty is what keeps Wenger in his job; the board is afraid of what somes next.

We're in a good place but next season will be much tougher.
