Hello

looks like interesting to know the team states under Ramos at all competitions until now.

ramoszr7.png

with our very poor start. considering poor morale and no confidence after bad results. Ramos states still looks reasonable and good despite overall performance against some teams.

with W9 D4 L3 .. looks like a bit of W2 D1 L1 in every 4 games in all competitions ( with 1W in hand now ) . I hope we will as much as we can but i don't think we can beat both of Arsenal and Chelsea in 4 days while both these games are away . I hope we will do it but if not. I would like to see us taking a draw in Emrites and Win against Chelsea which it is the best to push for higher place in League and leave the 2nd half of the table sooner rather than latter.

If we beat Arsenal next game, Wenger could consider using more XI player at the Lane.

so Key questions here:

1- Are you happy with Ramos until now ?

2- Which game should be taked with more interest ? Arsenal (A) 1st leg in Carling Cup ? or against Chelsea (A) in EPL ?

3- would you like Spurs playing for Draw next game to see Wenger keeping his faith with his poor youngesters at the Lane ?

cheers.

1. Yes, very.
2. Take each game as it comes, so the next game is the most important.
3. No, beat the scum by as big a margin as possible. We played their first team a couple of weeks ago, and should've won. We've nothing to worry about.

Think your table isn't working properly, we've played 16 not 17 and lost 3 not 4

This sort of question needs to be asked once Ramos has had a full season incharge, with the players he wants in the team and having a pre season to coach prep properly in the build up to a coming season

Kneejerk/backlash alert! It's way too soon to judge him. The proof is that he's dropped more points in league games compared to last season than Jol did. So what does that 'prove'? Not much to me.

Wendy will need at least two transfer windows to get the team he wants in place. All that 'proves' to me is that if he doesn't think that this squad can crack the top four, then 5th was the best that could be achieved with them.

I believe Ramos will have a big success and will make Spurs' dreams come true. Hopefully he is going to win a cup already this season.

It's hard to answer because we still have many of the same faults that we had under Jol, but he has 'pulled it out of the bag' a few times with some daring tactical changes.

I would prefer to answer this after he's had a year & two transfer windows.

Far too soon to judge the man.

This time next season, let's see what's changed. I think quite a lot.

At the end of this season I think he can be judged on what he has done so far. Personally I hope he will be here for the long term. If heads do roll at some point, then I think it will be Comolli's.

he's given us back the hope, we should be judging him after he's had enough time and signed a couple of players. next january that is.

I thin he has made a sound start and seems to have got the players heads up if nothing else, for that he should be given credit. He seems more tactically astute than Jol and isn't scared to make any changes but as most people have said he can only be judged this time next year.....at the earliest!

I'll judge him when he's playing with his own set of players. At the moment he's caretaking a squad not of his making.

Yeah too early to judge imo also.

I say we give him two seasons, let him get us to heights previously unattained, and then if he goes on a poor run after that, we should look to get another manager on the sly.

Unfortunately with our set up that is likely to continue to be the case.

To answer the original question I am happy with Ramos. But whether he is an improvement on Jol will depend on whether he has more influence with the Board. He is in a stronger position, so I suspect he will. His appointment is therefore likely to be a good thing (albeit not necessarily for the reasons envisaged by the board when they appointed him.)

What do people mean by this? It seems to me that people read that Jol wasn't tactically astute on here and have therefore decided he wasn't. Yet Ramos uses the same players, the same formation, with the same style and makes the same tactical changes. The only real difference is that Ramos likes to make his changes earlier. Whilst a lot of our fans seem to have lost their respect for Jol it is clear that there is one person that respects the work he did above everyone else and that is Ramos himself, as he has changed very little.

It was posted that Ramos likes to play a high line, so people started to see a high line, but he isn't playing a highline and for a good reason. The same reason as Jol didn't play a highline. Would you trust Dawson or Kaboul to make quick decisions? Of course not and no decent coach would. When Jol was in charge people only wanted to see the negatives, so totally ignored his overall tactical changes, such as foramtion or shape and focused on names etc (ie wrong players brought on). Ramos makes the standard Jol change of going 343 and is hailed a genius, simply because some actually pointed out that we've changed formation. Under Jol people weren't interested in noticing things like going to 343 when we came back from 4-1 down against Villa (i bet Jols change in formation in any of our games wasn't even mentioned once on this messageboard). Apparently it's some new Ramos super formation we've never seen before .

The reason Ramos results so far have been so similar to Jols of the last couple of seasons is because he plays very similar football, with the same set of players. Yet if you read here you'd think it was like we've seen a revolution and Ramos that is as far from Jol in terms of tactics etc as he is Allardyce or as Wenger is to Benitez. Jol and Ramos clearly share similar ideas, not identical obviously, but compared with other Prem coach's they are very much alike.

So, yes I'm very pleased with Ramos. I like virutally every single thing he's done and though some people have started questioning his decisions in the last couple of games, they should watch Utd and Arsenal games and see how often Fergie and Wenger make odd decisions but get away with it because of their fantastic sets of players.
