[Update 362] Ari Gold on various bitz n pieces

Site COYS
Evening Yids and Yidettes,

Today I made a big effort to speak to some other journalists, specifically ones who cover Spurs. I also spoke with the father of a Spurs player and a family member who has contacts with the Spurs board.

- Sir James will verify I am not bullsh*tting.

I am in no way shape or form claiming to be an ITK. I just have access to people who are. Take this how you will, but I know how much you are all desperate to hear what is going on.

I am also aware some of this will blatantly have already been posted on here, clearly some members of the press head to Spurs Od for information.

Pavluchenko: As reported. Fee agreed, Spartak said to be very accomodating, will be completed on Friday. The delay is said to be due to Pav receiving interest from Chelsea and Spurs' reluctance to pay 16 mill. The fee is apparently 15.5mill. We are hopeful of international clearance before Monday.

Arshavin: Was never dead. Spurs broke off negotiations for .... well .... Zenit were being very Spurs-like in making negotiations very difficult. Due to ownership issues, this deal will probably not be sealed until Monday morning. However, apparently a fee was agreed on Monday night.

Corluka: Exactly what has been reported here for weeks. Deal done, Hughes pulled the plug at the last minute. Spurs feel they could take Man City to court, also expected to be announced on Monday. Everyone seems 100% this will happen and possibly even tomorrow or Saturday.

Huntelaar: Very mixed news on this. The players have been told he's a definite possibility and that a fee has been agreed. Wages will be difficult for us though, within the current structure. However, a help in this is that Keane's clause that he'll always be joint top earner is obviously no longer an issue.
However, the BBC, as reported, spoke with his agent who completely denied. If this one is true, Spurs have done a terrific job in keeping it under wraps.

Veloso: Not a red herring. Was Ramos' number one summer target according to one source. Three people I spoke to today believe a fee has been agreed, they want to keep Moutinho more and he will now not be allowed to move to Everton. Again, he was reluctant to commit to Spurs earlier in the summer.

Berba: His agent was given the greenlight to negotiate with United at the start of the week. The talk is that a fee is agreed, along the lines of 15 million upfront and 13 over the next two years. There are add-ons, which will be spread across his four year contract. Deal is for around 90,000 a week, but Spurs won't allow a medical or his registration to be released until at least one striker signs.

Milito: On a season long loan is a plan B and easy to do. However, there are concerns if he's Premier League class, as Everton have already passed on him.

Woodgate: Did have a dust-up with Berba last week. He called him a **** and Berbs has been an outcast in the dressing room since.

As I say, take this as you will, journalists have been wrong a lot about Spurs this summer. However, I expect at the very least to sign the two Russians, Veloso and Corluka and I for one would have settled for that after Saturday!

Also fair thee well Lee Young Pyo, a scholar and a gentleman if ever there was one. For me he was always a good squad player.

As I say, I am not claiming to be an ITK, so if you disagree with this stuff, fine, but don't shoot the messenger.

Bellamy
"Does not want to go to Man City. Wants to come to Spurs.

Unlikely to join until nearer the end of the window as Spammers can't afford to replace him and want to get games out of him.

Trust me on this one. Going to happen"

Just heard from a mate they are as keen to get rid as he (Keane) is to go.

Every paper has gone big on this tomorrow. Potential spanner in the works is City's interest.

It'd be great I reckon. I guess Harry is trusting his relationship with Defoe that he could rotate the pair of them and keep them both happy.

Very worrying talk from good sources that Harry is hoping to sell a lot of the squad this summer. From what I hear, only Woodgate, Lennon and RK and JD are definite to be at WHL next summer (presumably Palacios too).
Don't shoot the messenger on this one because I don't want another summer of 'rebuilding' but the talk is that Harry will listen to offers for basically the entire squad.

I like the guy, but he could undo all of his good work to this point if he goes wheeler-dealer crazy.

Anyway, that's the latest I am hearing.

Don't be so quick to assume he is offski.

Rumour is just that. Apparently he will be at Spurs next season.

As ever, don't shoot the messenger.
[Update 80] Ari Gold Re:Keane
Date: 22 June 2009
Site: SO

If you can find me, shoot me (not you Sir James).

No cryptic b**l**ks.

Harry is keen to cash in. Keane would go if a top club came in, but doesn't want to go to Sunderland and would rather stay. He is a bit surprised I think that we signed him in January and now apparently want rid.

Regards.

Chimbonda will be off and should have a new club before the start of the season. Two bids in from English clubs - Blackburn? Hull? Maybe Stoke? and three European ones.

Shoot the messenger if you like, but you'd better hit me or you'll be in a world of pain Mo-Fo's.

[Update 12] Ari gold re:Gerrard
Date 11th May 2010
Site SO
I guarantee an ITK will link us with him soon. We've made enquiries apparently.

I'd say don't shoot the messenger, but flip it, if you can find me, shoot away.

Personally can't see it happening, but the enquiry and interest is real apparently.

Over to you guys.
More from Ari :
For real. Gerrard very likely to leave. He is apparently taking a very English attitude towards potentially playing abroad and won't go to Chelski or United. The smart money would be on Man Citeh but we're in play now and I am told have already registered our interest.
Obviously largely the reaction I expected. What I will say, is that to post this knowing I would be ridiculed, should suggest I trust the person who told me.

I have not said we're signing him. But we are going to try. Seriously.
[Update 63] Ari Gold on Richards
date 30/06/2010

A top Spurs Od poster informs me that a dude on Twitter who supports Spurs and works for the People says we're in the process of concluding a deal for Micah Richards.

Just you fliping try and shoot the messenger. I will tickle you until you spew!

[Update 157] Ari Gold re: Phil Neville
Date 26th Jan
Site Spurs Odyssey
Phil Neville will be a Spurs player before the end of the
window. Expect a loan or two in Everton's favour to
sweeten the deal.
Fee around £2.5million.
Don't take it with a pinch of salt, he's salty enough.
Archibald on SO :

[Update 7] Ari Gold - Bids for Sandro
Where: SO
When: 8th May 2011
I've come into some news (actually quite a lot).... I am deciding what to do with it all and will probably consult Paul.

Anyway, safe ground on this one and I am sure Archie can confirm.

We have already turned down a big bid for ...................... Sandro.

Written offer from Inter. Sandro has been told we want to keep him and he's happy to stay.
So could be more news to come as well.

Also been backed up by Archibald

Quote:
Actually had interest from 3 teams two of whom have made concrete contact... we wont sell and he is settled.. one problem is he is quite pally with our calamity keeper
[Update 129] Ari Gold re: Parker
When:16/06/11
Where: SO
I am told that...

That Parker talks are underway.

Fee not agreed. Expected to meet in the middle though at around £5 million plus possible add-ons.

And my reading is that we were always going to sign him and it's to do with the probable exits of Jenas, Palacios and the departure of O'Hara rather than anything related to you know who.

EDIT: And just seen the Times have run a story on it too.

Over to Archie and Roger.

[Update 140] Ari Gold re:Modric
When: 18/06/11

Levy won't sell Modric.

Someone I know who knows him(and I've told Archibald about
this source) has told me that we won't sell him and that he's
determined to be true to his word.
Over to Archie!
