I think the club are being smart regarding Milik. If he wasn't willing to come earlier in the window and now that he's run out of options in Italy is holding out for us then it's wise to not jump on it. Especially if Napoli are offering him around in the final days for 10-15m.

It's clear that the club are holding out for a situation to fall in their favour.

For example, if CV hasn't moved by the weekend, Benfica may start to be open to the idea of loaning with a 30-40m option at the end.

Then if that doesn't come off maybe we move for Weghorst or someone of that ilk.

Josh King, whilst I don't think he's our top option either, could be had for 10m as well.

That's why I think the likes of Eduoard, Daka, etc are not going to happen. Big spend and likely to need significant game time. They also don't fit the profile of the striker Jose seems to want.

If we can loan Alli to PSG and either get PSG to reduce their clause, or use Alli to soften the blow for us doing a Lo Celso again and bypassing the clause with a loan from Celtic, that would make sense for all the cloak and daggers.

Agreed with all of this except Edouard and Daka not being the profile of what Jose wants. To me, Millik is the striker I cant fathom why Jose wants him. He's not powerful, strong or particularly skilful. He's not in the Drogba mould which is often Jose's MO.

To be honest I've not seen much of Eduoard. Do you think he could operate as more a focal point? Is he just a finisher? etc.

I suppose if we are keeping it hush hush it would make sense as many clubs have been watching him.

I've watched him a fair few times (my family are Celtic fans). Basically he can do a bit of everything, and can play in a 2 ST formation, out wide and create really well (19 assists last year). He's also strong, very quick and can finish with both feet. I think he'd be fantastic for us.
