What? Do you think I was wrong? Did you actually watch the game? Did you see him miss a chance from 3 yards out and a penalty? Did you see Toure and Gallas own him like a little boy?

If I am wrong, tell me you saw something different? Otherwise STFU.

You're a moron! Neither keane or Berbatov had many chances today because we deliberately played quite defensive. Keane hit the post with a volley and missed a penalty ( for the first time in ages ) and you slag him off. Who would you suggest (with the bonus of hindsight) should have played instead? Defoe, who did nothing for 15mins?
Keane has done more than enough to have a slight off day considering the season he has had so far, especially against a side who are top of the league and recently dicked chelsea. So pipe down you mug!

To be honest ill just copy what i said on another forum i am on:

But in my opinion Spurs gave good account of themselves today no matter what some ((just to add, the people on that forum "hate" Spurs and love Arsenal)) will try and claim. If the penalty had gone it it would of been a different game. Spurs out played Arsenal through most of the game, were unlucky not to have a second penalty when Sagna tripped up Taarabt in the box, but thats how things go so not an excuse.

Baring in mind Spurs are missing: Bale, Dawson, Zokora, Jenas (whos done well under Ramos), and Ledley King i think if anything Arsenal fans should be disappointed at only winning it 2-1, especially when Spurs' defense was makeshift to the letter, Tainio-Kaboul-Chimbonda-Lee, not the normal back four, and two inexperienced CM's playing. O'Hara played his first full game for Spurs looked impressive.

Fabregas had one good move all match, otherwise invisible, he was marked out of it, When Hleb came off i was surprised, i had scarcely heard his name mentioned, invisible again. To be fair, Arsenal have Almunia to thank for the 3 points really. Thats it.

Typical frustrating result against the Woolwich Nomads. We can always point to 2 or 3 moments that could have changed the game in our favour. Have to say their winner gave me a flashback to the defensive frailties of the Jol era. Great performance from the patched-up defence other than that - far beyond my expectations. And O'Hara just looks better & better (bound to be seriously injured soon!).

Great finish from Berba, but then he seemed to be pining for his lost love when Keane was substituted? Good shot of Ramos on the bench when Berba gave up on another challenge towards the end - he did not look happy with our sulky forward. Berba may find a corner flag shoved up his ass.

On the commentary the awful Pleat, when not patting himself on the back about which players he had discovered, said that Ramos has substituted well. Completely disagree (as usual) - the subs did not change anything and I felt we were poorer for their introduction. No their fault, just tactically ineffective.

Robbie had a bad game, but he has been one of our most consistent players this season (not that there has been a lot of competition.) Maybe he is not going to take us to that elusive 'next level', but I can think of at least twenty squad members whom I would trade in first.

Cant agree on this, Keane had a realy bad start to the season, folloed by some fantastic game. Last few have been average for keane and today wasn't good.

Malbranque
Bale
Lee (has had a few day games of late)

For me are more consistent.

3 wins in 3 without him :)
he didnt deserve to come straight back, no.
and stop the topscorer bullshit, if others had a minute on the field they might get goals, and scoring 15 pens a season aint so special :)

15 penalties a season is pretty damn special. Unfortunately, only Andy Johnson can claim to have done that.

Was a match we could have easily won, somehow. It was also a fine display of Ramos' tactics. We played extremely well to contain them in the 1st half and was a momentary lapse of concentration that led to their 2nd.

There is no denying the Keane could have won the game, unfortunately, he didn't. Honestly though, with that team, who actually thought we would play as well as we did?

yep just that and nothing else, who noticed him leave the filed sheepishly instead of his usual antics acting like he deserves 90 minutes every game.

a miss from 3 yards out and a 'gimmie' penalty, truely a shocking game from keane, doind nothing for 89 mins and when you get something gift rapped (2 occasions) he goes and misses

really didnt deserve the start robbie but he got it and let us down
could have won that game had he not played oh well he'll still bea hero to the dummie spurs fans somehow

You're a bit of a cock aren't you.

I would've liked to have seen Defoe start today as he was on form and Keano had been out, but how anyone can say he's let us down and that 'dummie' fans will still see him as a hero, is beyond me.

I'll assume you're about 14 so i won't be too hard on you. But before you spew shit, please consider that, as the commentators pointed out, he's scored 29 goals for us in 2007, which is right up there with the best in the premiership/Europe. We would've won the game without him would we? You know that do you? Someone else would've backheeled that ball to Berby would they? Also bare in mind that Keano's been out for 3 games so you can't just expect him to come in and run the show. If you didn't think he should start, why don't you start a thread on how Ramos is an idiot for picking him. That'll go down a treat won't it.

Some people have very short memories and i don't know why i'm surprised, every fucking week there's plenty of retarded comments after a match, win or lose.

O'Hara was the best player on the pitch until we missed the penalty, then he faded. Very very impressive though. He was pinging high balls to players' feet as calm as you like. I'd love to see him and Jenas play together next time out. KPB and Hudd did ok too mind but O'Hara controlled the tempo in the way we've missed since Carrick left.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing sometimes. He seriously must have senile dementia.

Keane had scored his last 6 pens before that, so yes he should have taken it.

If Berbatov took it and missed, most of you would be on here moaning about how Keane should have taken it.

I don't like the idea of having a set penalty taker, maybe a choice between 2 or 3 would be nicer. Keane was having a poor match, and confidence is possibly the most important factor in scoring a pen at professional level, So i do feel Berbs should have stepped up. I suppose its ifs and buts.. I don't like hearing Keane get stick, because he's been fantastic 4 us over the years.

Anyone else get frustrated with YP Lee today? attacking he was terrible, turning onto his right foot and playing the ball back into a congested midfield every time...

No Arsenal made us play defencive. We had only 3 defenders on the pitch to start with and ended with only 2.

Arsenals midfeild worked well today and we found it difficult to get in behind them. This made us make alot os sideways or back pass's today.

3 wins in 3 without him :)

Let's have a look at those last 3 wins.

Man City (A) - I'll give you that one. It was a brilliant performance from the entire team.

Portsmouth (A) - Pompey have been terrible at home this season. Apart from that game against Reading they haven't been able to score at home.

Man City (H) - City are going through a bad run with away games. They've gone something like 5 games without a win.

Arsenal are a class above these teams and if you are going to get anything from the game you need your best players. Keane is one of our best players. He's taken 4 pens this season and scored 3. His other 9 goals this season have come from open play.

Words can't describe how much I hate Spurs fans. Some of you are complete fucking retards.

1) Keane pretty much has never missed a penalty before
2) Did Keane bottle it with a last minute penalty against Arsenal a few seasons ago when we drew 2-2? Did he bottle it when he scored a last minute penalty to keep Ireland in the World Cup?
3) The other chance where he hit the bar wasn't a sitter like you lot a making out rofl..

It's strange how all the Keane haters love Defoe, and hated Jol. While I'm here, does anyone want to pull out the old classic of 'tactically inept' for the reason why we lost this game?

Keane season so far in the Premiership is nothing special.

From open play he averages little better than a goal every 3 games.

He's been ok but nowhere near the god some people would have you believe.

Who also didn't have a great game by his standerds.

And Lee did hat a left footed cross today that Keane picked up on a run to the front post. Lee has and always will be a defender first, attacker last.

Heads up guys, if a makeshift side like ours today can put in a performance like that against arsenal's first choice eleven then if we ever get to play them with something like our first team we'll take them.
Our central midfield was missing today and so we had two 21 year olds with one league start betwen them did they do us proud or what?
I was looking for a good performance today to confirm that we are improving and able to play our game against the top sides and as far as I'm concerned the team gave us one.

Upset at the result but optimistic for the future.

1- Keane has missed pens, everyone does.
2- did he bottle it today..looked like it, didn't hit it with much belife so what he has done before doesn't have anything todo with what happened today.
3- would need to see it again.

Its strange how all of the Defoe haters love Keane. I think they are both good strikers in compleatly diffrent ways.

And not all Defoe lovers hated Jol, just like im sure somepeople who hated Defoe hated Jol
