My most dreaded fixture of every year. Season in, season out, I hate the whole day, with the exception being if the full-time whistle has gone and we've drawn the game (or, whisper it so as not to jinx tomorrow, come away with the win). Ugh.

You don't have to live in the fucking neighbourhood! Not only do I have to put up with obese middle aged men in red shirts fist-pumping their way up my street 15 minutes after the final whistle, but it's impossible to use the car on a weekend afternoon when Arsenal are at home, especially when it's the derby - I live all of 20m outside the match-day parking-restrictions zone, so every residents' bay in the street is occupied by a car with a Gooners decal on it, from an hour before kick-off.

To be fair the festival of light is an amazing day out! Get tickets for the safari bus as well, but get them early as it sells out!

But I wouldnt miss the NLD for anything:ROFLMAO: Im not too sure what to expect, we are a better team than them but they have got lucky in so many games this season that surely has to run out. Time for us to take them to the cleaners.

It's also true that we have won 7 out of 8 away fixtures so far and had more than our fair share of good fortune to do so. If you believe in stuff like the "law of averages", then it's just as likely we'll lay a gigantic egg tomorrow.

I've been thinking that this is the first time in some years that both teams have come into the North London derby on a consistent vein of good form. Of course, for 20+ years, we were always expected to lose this fixture and usually did. Then, for the past 5-ish years, it's always coincided with one degree or another of crisis and fan revolt at Arsenal.

This time, Emery has got their defence functioning as well as he can, given the players at his disposal, and their attack is developing a habit of progressively taking over matches after half time. We have our best defenders back and are showing signs of clicking in attack, but we're still on a run of 6 wins largely through moments of sheer quality, rather than domination.

I was thinking about this yesterday in that like Arsenal, we have rode our luck too in various matches but is it fair to say it's been quite different still? Arsenal have been outplayed and opened up in numerous matches and have somehow walked away with a win or draw and despite us not playing greatly, I still don't think we've been outplayed and at times exploited in the same manor that Arsenal have been, we just haven't been easy on the eye.

Arsenal look like they could be on the end of a thrashing at some point but at the same time are still picking up decent results. They're a very strange side at the moment to be honest.

Totally agree. They're improving in some facets, but there's still a vulnerability at the back. They're a bit unpredictable really.

But for me we have to get after them. Stay disciplined and look to counter, but we must be aggressive and bully them as well.

If we turn up and look timid it will be similar to last season, but I really don't see that happening this time round.

Yeah if anything it's thoughts of last season in not showing up that worries me more than anything of Arsenal's current game. They were supposed to be shit in defence then too and we didn't test that defence at all. Hopefully we've learnt from that and if we can settle down, gain any sort of rhythm and start to play our game we'll cause them problems for sure.

I just want us to show up, it feels like the last couple of years (at their place) we haven’t been prepared for them to be up for it and just expected them to roll over. If we have the same attitude as the chav game they won’t be able to live with us

I screwed myself too. Taking my girls to Longleat festival of light. Im annoyed as i have the fixtures saved in my calendar but for some reason it said today at 3pm (obviously doesn't update for TV. I'll have to record and watch later avoiding the result.

Yeah. Same here. It used to be changed for tv but this year they stopped doing that, or its sporadic at best. A bit annoying when it happens.

Hope a win today is going to encourage a few more ticket sales for Southampton game at the moment the crowd for that game looks embarrassing .

tense. I think we can score a couple, countering their counters, for me it all depends on how well we defend. The fbs need to stay solid, with no dangerous diving in by M.Aurier. Keep them down to one and I think we shade it. 1-2. COYS.

Can’t wait for this. A tough game without a doubt and either side could edge this one. I hope we bring our Chav performance along for this game - the physicality, the high press. This just isn’t a NLD, this is the match that will show Spurs rule London. COYS!

Christmas time, to many games packed into this period and with presents needed etc money is tight, dont have the £40 quid a game this time of year, its understandable why low sales.

We were fucking terrible in this fixture last year this time I expect us to be much better and the team is on a run of good form, so I think we will get something from the game and I'm ok with that.

As long as we show up ready to battle, if needed ,then we will be fine.

The only thing against us will be if we expect them to lie down and just get battered.

Just remembered I'm watching this game with my old man, who's bad at the best of times when watching us, today he's going to be a fucking nightmare.
