There was a bit in the last couple of episodes which was very similar the Brendan Rodgers 3 envelopes part from that Liverpool documentary but Arteta did it with saying there were 4 players at training he'd have taken out after 15 minutes as their level was so bad but he didn't mention names. Same psychological trick.
It’s a pretty transparent trick and the players would be stupid not to see it. Things like this can end up causing division in teams too. Because people think it’s not them that needs to pull their socks up etc and then gossip starts about who exactly the manager is talking about.

Arteta: Documentary team talks are my idea

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta says he is proud what Amazon Prime's All or Nothing documentary is showing - and admits his bizarre team talks originate from him and aren't influenced by anyone.

The fly-on-the-wall series shows Arteta talking about how he met his wife, drawing pictures of body ornaments and even getting the club photographer to give a speech before kick-offs.

"I am really happy with where we are and who we have at the club and what we are building. I couldn’t be happier with that," says Arteta.
"It’s a long time since that happened, I can’t go back when there’s another series. I was clear and honest in my opinion. What has been done is to defend our club and be as clear, honest as we can.

"Those moments are very personal and happen in the moment. What the occasion is and it has to come out of myself massively. You have people who have inspired you in your life."

Building up nicely…… those celebrations after beating Villa was like they’d won the Cham pions League and the fans serenading Arteta just makes the upcoming episodes even more enjoyable.

I wouldn’t get your hopes up.

Five past Everton and it’ll be “after a year outside, European football would be returning to the Emirates. The end.”

Anyone else thinks the old guy who hangs around like a bad smell when they where doing the auba transfer and also uncredited looks a bit like Johnathan Pryce From Game of Thrones?

I think you’re referring to Mark Gonella. He’s their head of comms and was the one to sign this whole thing off.
I actually know him and dropped him a text thanking him for doing that when it was announced (after their first 3 games)

Walking around with a lightbulb had me, absolutely hilarious.

I don't know how some of the players keep a straight face.

I've said before, I call him 5 watt coz he's not that bright.

He now carries aforementioned light bulb in an attempt to combat this.

Even that bit where he was going mental about them being soft was more comedy, than domineering. It would have taken the utmost discipline for me not to laugh.

I'm sure he's tactically astute, but the players, or at least the older players, surely think he's a pillock. A jester more than a leader.

Like others have said he's like a kid's PE teacher.

Yes him, he looks like a right scruff bag in real life compared to his pic on Google!

Is there all or nothing 9 eps as well. We already upto March in their season, and it’s been absolute dross. How they going to cram in 3 45mins eps in 2 months of football left?
