They bottled it.

Gary Neville annoys me but he pretty much predicted it a few weeks back and Keane yesterday after the game pretty much said it too.

My Prem FF team name is "Arsenal Bottled It" in reference to them bottling top four last season and I kept it all season, I held my nerve, I didn't change it and now I might just add an (Again) at the end :ROFLMAO:

Wonder if anyone will update wiki for arsenal and put up that they are the world's largest company of bottles?

After looking at a list of what people say are the biggest legends of the PL they seem to be there a few times, and guess how many for us?..... 0

Hang your heads in shame. I've only gotten to Novermber of this thread. I've got a lot of time today to keep finding every single twerk post.

They are an excellent side. I am very interested to see them play city.

They demolished Brentford with ease, a side we all thought they'd struggle against.

brentford fans said they are the best side they've faced since coming into the prem.
I was interested to see them play City as well, and get battered 3 times.

Can the 'Never Praise Arsenal' police tell us whether it's ok to say Arsenal are good and that we should be worried?

Told you not be worried didnt we?

Haha yea when a few of us called this pre season and first few games we got the full on ‘never praise arsenal police ?‍♂️

It is still early days but unless they get injuries to Jesus or other key players they will keep winning games as their confidence and momentum are both so high, unfortunately shades of what Poch built for us going on over there with the fans and players very connected due to a young hungry exciting squad and attractive style of play.

Fair play. 2-0 up in half an hour with a second string line up. They are gonna take some stopping this season IF they can manage their squad until January.

The sad thing about Arsenal right now is that they are so solid whilst being good. At least when they were good under Wenger there was always a funny collapse around the corner but they are so organized defensively that there's none of that.

The collapse did come.

Careful mate. We can’t acknowledge how dangerous they are. Remember apparently we were the better team in the NLD.

You can acknowledge that you were wrong about how dangerous they are.

It's not 10 games. They finished 5th last year and were very good for large parts of it with an under strength squad.

Look Arsenal are a good team, might be better than I thought. Going into the season I was sure we would definitely finish above them but I am doubting that somewhat with how strong Saliba and Jesus have started. I tried to tell everyone we should be going for Jesus not Richarlison but people ignored it or wanted to bury their heads in the sand. Richarlison is good but Jesus is better.

Pain.

I just can't quite see where this is going to fall apart. The players, coach and fans seem to be completely united.

It's very formidable when that happens at football clubs.

Take two paracetomal and lie down in a dark room.

I mean you can pretend that it's down to a kind fixture list but it hasn't been much easier than ours.

They are a good team and it's shit to have to deal with.

Called it in pre season they looked good and some wrote it off as just pre season, my view was based on the togetherness Arteta has been building as well as how well their signings were fitting into their system.

is it still "twerking" to say they do look good and much better than last season? Previously they would have faded after Liverpool equalised, but instead they went up a gear again.

Yes it was and is.

Fair play to them, they deserved the win and probably could have scored more.

Vomit.

Agreed, losing the title to city is not a collapse at all
On the contrary, that's exactly what its been.

Genuinely worried about Arsenal and their title chances, I said it preseason, I said it early on and I’ll say it again now.

How about now?

All I'm saying is those people completely dismissing any chance of Arsenal maintaining their form for any period of time probably owed everyone a bit more respect.

I'm not saying they'll win it, but to totally write them off was always a stupid approach.

It wasnt stupid.

Arsenal are a decent side and Will not lose many games-similar to LC winning the PL (get knocked out of cups early) could win the PL. Europe L is a training session for them at the moment.

LOL

Great post. Ultimately, some people's prejudice colors their thinking so much that they can't be objective. it's not that they might objectively disagree with your opinion and argue from that point. it's as if anything Arsenal does can't be good.

One would have expected them to drop a few more than they have but they haven't. So while the club and a significant percentage of their fans are detestable, it's crazy to say that they haven't done well. At the same time, it's a long season with quite a few games to play with a pretty thin bench. It's equally crazy to say where they'll finish, etc.

This was the fear I had about arsenal from day 1 of this season. Many on here far too quick to dismiss them as genuine title contenders and just saying city will run away with it, I’m absolutely shitting this happening tbh.

What I saw today they will win the PL., just need to keep all fit. City will be distracted by the CL.

LOL

They’ll bottle it come May as the always have in the past decade

Will be even sweeter considering how they are gassing up a title challenge

This guy got it.

Yep, some are starting to realise what I’ve been worried about all along now unfortunately.

If City win it and not arsenal I would Love every minute of you bringing this post back up and telling me how wrong I was ? ?

AND HERE WE GOOOO

Why?
Who will possibly finish above them?
City mabye but they’ll be focusing on the CL and their squad is smaller this season and they have a lot of injures and are relying on haaland.
Us? No chance we finish above them
Chelsea? Man.U? Liverpool? Newcastle? Nope none look anywhere near consistent enough so what do you base them falling away and finishing 3rd on? I wish they won’t win it but I can’t see who else apart from
City could beat them to it and I’m not even confident city will either because of what I’ve said above.

Get a fucking grip you oddball.

He didnt listen

Must not mock- they are serious contenders. They are good enough to beat City head to head. They need To keep every one fit. Chelsea are poor and Potter will be out by Xmas.

They weren't.

I don't actively engage with Arsenal twitter at all but sometimes things come up on my timeline and it's hard to ignore like below.

Like it's one thing if they for example are desperate to believe that Kane dived yesterday (it's a blatant penalty but maybe their biases run so deep that they don't see the obvious).

However, stats like above are easily checked and that's when you realise they are willing to put out straight up lies, just so they can have a moment of Tottenham loathing. A quick check on the Premier League website gives us 30 penalty goals out of 192 total goals = 15,6%. Just a quick comparison with Shearer on the same website and you can see that 21,5% of his goals came from penalties.

I'm also not talking about the average Joe with 50 followers here and there, the above account has 42K followers and a lot of their large accounts is spouting nonsense on the daily.

I know we are hardwired to dislike them, but their early success this season is really taking things to another level. Would love for Leeds to give them a proper humbling this afternoon.

Eddie has returned with another gem, obviously forgetting they had games that mattered the back end of last season and fucked it then too.

If any Arsenal fans tell you they never thought they were winning the league.

And they still continue to sing about us.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the table when they were 13 points clear. All their fans keep denying it ever happened and it "was only ever 8 plus city had a game in hand"
No evidence that the above happened.
This definitely happened though. With 9 games to go Arsenal were 8 points clear but City had a game in hand.

Arsenal then drew 2-2 at Anfield, 2-2 at West Ham after being two up both times, then they drew 3-3 at home to bottom club Southampton (conceding the first goal inside of 30 seconds) before getting smashed 4-1 at City. If they had kept hold of those six points they could have afforded the loss to City and still been in charge of their own destiny. Even losing yesterday would have still had them two points ahead. What you have here is something that rhymes with Throttle Throb.

Zero shame at all as the conclusion was pretty non committal to how it would turn out. But hey ho, if that is the best use of your time, have at it.
