As a fan of football in general, not just Spurs, I almost find it a bit sad what Gooners are calling the manager who brought them so much success in his first decade and revolutionised the Premier League in terms of training, conditioning and general professionalisation "a clown".

But fuck it, it's Arsenal. Let them have some struggles.
They're not a club, they're a franchise, they dragged themselves across London in a bid to win more fans, and as such were always going to attract a certain sort of fan...you reap what you sow and all that.
You'll also probably find the ones digging him out probably weren't around for the glory years, and only jumped on the bandwagon relatively recently, hence the lack of respect and any form of loyalty for what he achieved.

As I said, I enjoy seeing Arsenal struggle. But there's not denying that Wenger was a huge influence in dragging the PL into the modern era, perhaps even the biggest. Ferguson won loads over 20 years because he was the best at reacting to the changes that came, but Wenger was the primary source of those changes for a good five or ten years.

His demise would be sad were it for almost any other club.

Don’t pity them. They don’t like it. Just laugh.

They're waking up to the reality of their squad ... finally.

The team out today is just midtable quality
Cech - past his best
koschielny - same as above
Mertesacker - same as above
Monreal- Very good
Bellerin - Decent player
Kolisinac- Decent player, but could have signed for a midtable side.
elneny - would not start for any of the pl sides, he is that bad
Xhaka - Decent player, midtable quality
Iwobi - Decentish player, lower to midtable level
Welbeck - decentish player, midtable level,
Lacazette - Very good

This is really what is going on sadly, every one of the other top sides has so much better first xl that its not even funny.

Arsemania - before, during and after

Can't wait for this. Missed that crushing disappointment in my life.

We'll ruin them.

It should be an easy win

I think we'll win this one. They've only won 3 in 8 games can't see where the slight hype for Watford is coming from.

Ramsey injured again :( (imagine missing Ramsey, says it all really)

I remember Villa away a few years ago we had a Eboue-Denilson-Song-Diaby midfield

That one is better than now

What a spine. Mertesacker, Elneny, Xhaka, Iwobi, Welbeck. What a poverty team. With Özil and Sanchez going, the next manager is going to have a massive rebuilding job. LOL just look at the state of it. (y)

Happy with out team. Defence is better than I expected and the front 3 will produce chances, lets hope Welbeck has his scoring boots on. 0-3 (Welbeck and scoring boots in the same sentence is a no no)

Kick off

This has the feel of a loss in the making. Cant believe the dross we have on the pitch.

Richardson seem decent player :D

Lets be honest, Xhaka's **** isn't he? (y)

20 mins in

Jeez what a shower of ****

Mertesacker is such an intelligent defender..

I miss international football.

One of the most boring game I've seen the last few years.

Watching this team makes me sad. So mediocre

A few pages follow with about 20 posts calling for Wheelchair to come on

competing with liverpool v man utd for last spot on match of the day so far

You could make a case for the Watford midfield being better than ours. You shouldn’t be able to make a case.

0-1

There you go you moaning ****s

Per Mertesacker needs a statue.

They had Tom Cleverly marking Mertesacker (and you should have had him marking Cleverly in the 92nd minute :D)

That was our first away goal apparently

Playing badly but winning? Stuff of champions lads.

Positives: Our defence looks very solid. 5 PL clean sheets in a row?

Just got distracted by an article about skirting boards, thats how dull this game is.

Very solid half. Love BFG back. Never looked like conceding.

Good first half, important to get the first goal.. Should open up more in the second half, hopefully we can kill the game early..

7 weeks since we conceded in the EPL, come on lads keep this up.

****ing awful start to the second half.

Awful. Just awful. We are one of the worst passing sides in the league

Özil on and we are instantly dangerous.

Central Özil is different class

Need to get a 2nd goal ASAP. If we concede now, we're in trouble

Penalty to Watford 1-1

F**K sake

We're done

Now we'll bring Walcott on to make matters even worse.

Game needs to end soon. Watford look much more likely to score the winner.

Wilsh auditioning for the new series of Prison Break

2-1

**** off

looool what a nightmare this game turned out to be

Hahahahaha you couldn't make it up.

Are you F*****g serious. This game should have been done

This is Wengers fault. Horrible horrible team. I'm so ****ing done with this club.

Sacked in the morning

I'm done with football

Totally deserved. Shambles of a team, shambles of a club

It’s okay, every loss is a nail in this clown’s coffin as manager.

Watford proved a challenge. Watford, let that sink in...

Over the next few years the club will disappear to mid table and become entirely irrelevant. (y)

I ****ing hate this sport. It can do one. Had a mint day and then its this bullsh*t. Tom f*cking Cleverley

City beat this lot 6-0

We're the new Everton, lads

Wenger in fairness did a lot for the league but as many have pointed out he inherited a good team defensively at least. He was arrogant when they were a winning team and he is still arrogant now. He deserves everything he gets. His smugness over the years has been unbareable. I wish Jol had knocked him out.

Poster still overrating Belliren and Xhaka, both are shockingly poor and major defensive liabilities. Bellerin makes Trippier look like a fucking defensive shutdown master.

Also Elneny is absolute garbage and I rated him when he was at Basel.
