Nice people ..

Something in the water there. There’s a bloke local to me, well, who was local to me, Karl Laraman, who got done for verbally/mentally abusing youth players.
One of these men who picks and chooses when to be the tough guy ( based on who he’s talking to, so teenage kids are fair game )

She might have been a little prick to be fair. We’ve all been around some kids and thought it.
Apparently he'd been shouting in her face and calling her all sorts of names and criticising her refereeing, reducing her to tears. She has to be young as she was described as 'a minor'. That's why she didn't want to shake his hand.

Have Arsenal sacked him?

I’d assume so but it’s football so you never know!

How was her refereeing?

Been peering over the fence at how the neighbours' transfer window is starting to pan out; basically been watching 'The United Stand' and 'AFTV' on You Tube.

The players Arsenal have been linked with are pretty mediocre tbh. They're basically an assortment of French and Spanish stocking-fillers, valued around the £15m to £20m mark.

I doubt if some of them would get into the Wolves or Everton starting XI.

Sure, some of the less known ones might turn out to be rough diamonds, but in the main there's nothing really to worry about...

...which brings me onto the 'faces' on AFTV. None of them seem worried that (i) they've got next to no transfer budget this summer and (ii) all the players they've been linked with are the types we were linked with in 2004!

My prediction is a full-blown meltdown among the Arsenal fanbase by the end of September, once they realise how crap their squad is.

In the spirit of fairness, one of AFTV's latest videos highlights these points exactly, with Robbie and DT getting worried at the prospect of dodgy signings.

They also talk about Emery getting the sack around January

I think one of Laca or Auba will be sold before the Summer is out. They won't be able to replace them easily, who the fuck is going to want to go to them?!

Emery ?? He's a Dick.....but on paper he looks good as long as you don't rub him up the wrong way (subtle humour eh :sneaky:)

This. Key words being 'thought it' though.

My brother jumped in to referee an U14's game a couple of years ago. He could not believe the level of abuse he was getting. Being told to F### Off and being called all sorts including a few C bombs.

Anyway he ended up sending one of the kids off because of his behaviour which really upset the Applecart. (Including some vitriol from one of the assumed parents watching)

I am all for protecting kids, and treating them accordingly, but some if the time if they want to act how they perceive adults behave then 'they' should expect to be treated accordingly.

I am not saying that as an adult you should resort to equal behaviour but sometimes the 'he/she is only a child' is not always a genuine excuse.

That said I do not condone what the coach said. If there was problems with how the Ref officiated the game, as an adult, there are other ways to air your dissatisfaction.

Such an odd bunch. Imagine spending time typing this up

This is the sort of thing I'd do when I was 12.

I love the Arabic spelling of his name in brackets in a bid to make the letter seem more legitimate.
