After the Liverpool result, I've just given myself a talking to. I remember back in the days when we were proper shite and Arsenal fans would moan and grizzle about not battering opponents or getting beat in the CL. What utter pricks they seemed when we were suffering week in week out. Well, I've now realised that the boot is firmly on the other foot, they are fucking atrocious and we've just run Liverpool very close at Anfield and are breathing down their necks, and it has rather cheered me up. Thankyou Arsenal, and all your muggy fans.

Pardew's got an office job in Bulgaria now. There's no way he's leaving that to become Arsenal manager.

Pardew's Agent: 'Sofia has an attractive opening you might be interested in, Al. You up for it?'

Pardew: (* thinks 'heh, the saucy mare' *) - 'make it happen, Dave'

One week later

Pardew: 'So why the fuck am I in Bulgaria again?'

Probably saw an advert saying 'Sophia looking for a proper prick'.

The comparison of the trajectories of the clubs over the last decade is all you need to think about. We're disappointed because we lost away to the current champions and Arteta is being asked serious questions from straight-faced journalists about relegation form.

Mildly amusing when after hearing Ty say that the refs have an agenda against Arsenal and that 13 VAR decisions have gone against them this season, Robbie says something like “oh sorry, that’s by your count, I thought that was some fact or something but it’s probably more like 2 or 3”

To be fair, Ceballos was fouled and they should have had a penalty.

But spouting unverified statistics is a bit silly.

I thought Southampton were very unlucky not to get a penalty when Holding crashed into a Southampton player making no contact with the ball. Don’t think they would’ve come back from that but fair play to them, massive point for Arsenal that.
I don't understand how that wasn't given...he just flattened him.

The commentator I was listening to (think it was Ally McCoist) did question it so I thought ok I’m not mental then coz that was a blatant foul but then he said something like “I’m not exactly sure how that contact would make him hit the ground like that though” and I thought you what? If you’re running full tilt at a stationary person normally (assuming the 2 people are similar weights) the person standing still, as you say, is going to get flattened. It’s actually hard to fake hitting the ground that fast and hard.

They could genuinely become entrenched in a relegation battle, even if briefly. I know it hard to imagine but here's a few things.

- Next games - Everton (A), Chelsea (H), & Brighton (A) - really difficult games, especially when you aren't scoring and your squad is becoming threadbare because of suspensions.

- Allardyce going to WBA actually gives them a great chance, now they may scrape by and stay up, or they may have a mini revival under him. Their next fixtures are Villa (H) - good game for him, I reckon, Liverpool (A) yeah, not a great game, & Leeds (H) perfect type of opponent for him. If they were to pick up a couple of wins that lifts the relegation points threshold.

- Fulham - Doing much better and starting to pick up points, they aren't fearing teams anymore. Newcastle (A), Southampton (H) Us (A) - if they manage to pick up 4 points from those games and Arsenal get less, they significantly close the gap. It no longer becomes bearing over their shoulders for Arsenal.

- Burnley - Started to look a little better. Villa (A), Wolves (H), Leeds (A) - admittedly a tougher run of form, but I wouldn't be surprised if Burnley picked up at least a win as they have often done down the years.

- Brighton - Sheff Utd (H), West Ham (A), Arsenal (H) - actually the team I feel least positive about, they don't seem to win even if they play well and haven't really hit any stride of form. BUT they may not need to, a win vs Sheff Utd could put them above Arsenal and IF they managed to beat Arsenal that would be a huge blow to Arsenal.

- Belief - Arsenal not only do they likely not have much belief right now, they probably don't feel they will get relegated themselves. It probably hasn't crossed their minds. Being in a relegation battle requires much more than 'good football', it requires mental toughness, the ability to dig deep when you are in bad form and it requires discipline - something Arsenal lack.

At the moment they are peering over their shoulders. But after this run of three games, if they only manage one win and two of the others better that, they will no longer be 5 points off the relegation places, it'll be 2 or 3....and we'll almost be at the half way point.

I saw this earlier and something in this scene is just off. Fake looking, the boss of Barstool sitting there in a suit checking out his product. Wanting to witness Troopz lose it, all very pantomime I may be way overthinking. What happens if Arsenal win?

I know what you mean. They’re all performers at the end of the day.

Leno coming out today saying there’s a bad attitude in the group but the players are happy with the manager. Does that mean the manager is powerless to stop it so they’re happy for that to continue?
