There is an argument that Arsenal are only a point worse off than the same stage last season so the ‘crisis’ is fabricated, but look at the Gunners’ rivals in comparison with their performance in what was a pathetic campaign which ended with Leicester’s triumph: Chelsea (+31 points), Tottenham (+7), Liverpool (+12), Manchester City (+7), Manchester United (+7) and Everton (+14).

From Arsemania, Interesting stat.

Also, I will utterly amazed if Wenger is still there next season. The fans have been split up till now, but more results like this and the majority will want him out. Once it gets to that stage it's goodnight.
Depends. If they give him the 2 year contract before it gets seriously bad then they may just try wait it out. I hope that's what's happened because they will not improve under his tenure.

I say screw him and their poxy fans. Wenger is an unpleasant character with no manners who sulks when he loses, refuses to shake hands with opposition Managers and comes out with God only knows what bullshit to defend the indefensible. He sees what he wants to see and then goes blind when it suits him and is probably the worst loser I can remember. He was all fine and dandy when Vieira and Pettit were dishing it out on a weekly basis and then grizzled and whinged when he put out a team of lightweights who got bullied. Stuff him. Blokes an utter knob.
Wenger's an utter knob, but he brought that lot more success than any other manager in their history, and got them playing entertaining football for the first time ever, so you'd think the Goons would be grateful (once they got over the culture shock). Still, surly old Wenger and those ingrates deserve each other.

Has anyone been trolling Arsemania? I'm dying for more belly aching laughs!!:p

Far too much to link full on blood bath

edit ok here is one I found funny.

Wenger is done. What a terrible way to end a career .
The guy wil have nothing left in the end.
Unlike Ferguson retiring as a hero, Wenger will get kicked out like an asylum seeker back across the channel . Spoiling his legacy, spoiling his retirement even ... Just living with the pain of having missed out on Ngolo Kante, Griezmann , champions league , surely missing out on top four and losing to Spurs in the end .

Anyone else got any embarrassing confessions to make?....................
Any former Junior Gunners in here etc?
Seems to be the right forum/day to do it!

I once wore a pair of White Gazelles with Red stripes. Tried to convince myself they were England colours but it didn't stop my feet from swelling.

Does that count?

Thats the thing, there are hundreds of thousands of glory hunting Man U and Arsenal fans in the world who jumped on that wagon when it was a 2 horse race and they were young. Its all they've ever known.
Now with the Man City and Chelsea money, other clubs able to hold onto players a little tighter due to tv money, plus (and this is huge imo) the player power that exists so its more about man management than tactics, the landscape has changed drastically and they just cannot accept it. Things have changed.
While Wenger very cleverly spent very little the club were happy to take CL money.
Had he spent a fortune every window that would not have been acceptable. I think he realised this. Spend big and I'll have to explain why I didnt finish above Chelski and Man City but.... spend fk all (relative) and I can suck on this teat for years.
I think he's just had his time now and should take a bow with all the dignity he can muster while he still has some. A little anyway.
