I agree that their poor run has to end, but grinding out a draw and playing on the counter isn’t how Brighton set up against anyone. They control possession but lack an end product, which will suit Arsenal’s attacking players. However without Partey I can see them struggling to win the ball high up the pitch and their players getting frustrated, but only if they’re still chasing a goal late on.

Let’s wait and see what’s wrong with him. I don’t trust those fuckers. Him and tierney will probably be fine and back by the weekend knowing them.

Not sure what they had to gain from being without Tierney last night and having Partey come up lame when they were getting a foothold in the game, directly resulting in him presenting Zaha with the ball in the lead up to the penalty.

I had a bet on Palace to win last night.
Paddy Power taking the piss out of the gooners as well.
I did NOT cash out, PADDY paid out after 30 minutes of the game

Paddy pay out for a win at 2-0 up in basically every game. Pretty standard.

Palace were 2-0 up by 24 minutes

The state of this clown!. Don’t know what or who he has been scrapping with (two black eyes) but apparently Arsenals result was all due to the loan system (in particular Gallagher).
As soon as one of these idiots departs/goes to jail etc it’s not long before they are backfilled.

I wasn’t expecting the voice?

What do they gain from paying out that early in the match? If Arsenal managed to turn the game around with 3/4 of the game remaining, they can't reclaim the money paid out? Seems an odd business tactic

Something new I learn every day. Good to know and thanks.
Still prefer Paddy taking the piss. ?

It's useful to know because you can stick it back on at the new odds, if you're double confident, or on the other

By then the odds aren't great, but I've had a bet on, say, team A to beat team B (arbitrary example), then they pay out for team A going 2-0 up, but then putting it on team B if it's a jammy team like Arsenal/Liverpool/United, who you fully expect will come back from it and win.

Hence you can accumulate 'wins' for both teams :ROFLMAO:

Incentivises customers I guess. The balance of people who will bet and lose versus ones were they actually pay out.

They've paid out on teams winning the title early before now:

Yeah it’s just good PR for them. Obviously they get told by their computers how much paying out early will cost them, and when you look at the profits these companies make each year it clearly works...no different to the landlord of a pub offering an occasional drink on the house to his locals.

Palace will not care at all with tonights game, the semi is their season and the players will not compete at the level they should and needed to beat Arsenal.
Arsenal will go one nil up and play out the game similar as with Villa with the Palace players wanting to avoid a massive defeat only. One nil is almost acceptable. I hope Im wrong and they give it all but I very much doubt it. Vieira will not do us any favours Im sure.
Hands up, not sure what happened. I still believe it’s theirs to lose. I will not celebrate or get depressed until the moment when it’s decided for either team. WHU might still have a say in all this. One match at a time, Villa next big game, big points , big hearts needed. COYS

Nah, not with their fixture list(which is harder than Arsenal's) plus EL ties mixed in.

One thing to consider about the Brighton game for that lot, Southampton too now. They have to get 6 points, they cannot drop anything. They have some real tough games coming up with 3 London derbies away and United at home. They will need full points in the next two as they will drop points in that run.

This increases the pressure, even if they beat Brighton as others have said Brighton will still come to play football and not spoil the game. Southampton are another high intensity side, the exact sort of team they struggle with.

All to play for and not getting ahead if myself, we just need to focus on our games but the comfort blanket Arsenal had got blown away last night. Let's see how their young team cope with the pressure.

I guess if they do that and the other team comes back but you keep your money you'd bet with them next time. I would also guess the odds of a comeback are low as it very rarely happens so it's not so much of a gamble for them as it might seem.

Arsenal have done much, much better this season than I'd anticipated but this is the real test. They've played some nice football and got good results when the pressure was off, their fixtures were easy and they had minimal injuries.

Now they need to show some serious character to get over the line. Leicester have thrown away the CL from much better positions than Arsenal for 2 years running with a deeper squad.

Got to hope that Arteta's youngsters can't handle the injuries or the pressure and the wheels come off.

Not sure what her name is but that slightly odd looking girl that does a podcast and lives in California. She’s always on the 7.30 AM sky show and been so full of it. Was a really beautiful thing to watch her so crushed this morning ?

God I hope Southampton show up for that match. Their performance at our place, especially in the first half, was truly one of the best I've ever seen from an away team vs Spurs. They were so intense and on it that day and, though we almost won and threw away a 2-1 lead, Saints were incredible at times.

They've gone off the boil since then - as they always do - but when they're pumped up and on their game they're a very tricky side to beat.
