Quite a cool ad in all seriousness. Although it doesn't take away from the fact they're still Social Media FC
The conspiracy ranter on Twitter that was mentioned in a previous page here claims Arsenal's marketing and social media teams aren't Arsenal fans, which means they're disconnected enough to not care about the optics when they push campaigns like this. It makes sense when they do shit like this. It's the utter tone deafness that makes me laugh. Making their fans angry on the pitch in the league so announce another kit, or in this instance retro shirts from when they won a league title to remind them all of just how bad they are doing now. Not only promoting it but using a player that cares more about his image than learning how to throw and dolling up their "star" who plays like he can't be bothered anymore, while raking in a fortune (reading back I note that it doesn't narrow it down so in this case PEA)
Dafuq did I just watch?Imagine us being in their position and putting something like that out. Their fans must be livid.

Somehow I think they’re both wrong.

I thought it would be pretty obvious that the club aren’t going to give a fuck who you support, it’s how qualified and how good you are at your job that matters.
To be fair, I'm not sure that the muppets on AFTV are even Arsenal fans. How else would you explain their apparent determination to make Arsenal a laughing stock? It's obvious if you give it thirty seconds thought. But I never had given it thirty seconds thought so it came as a mild surprise.
If I was writing an epic twitter rant about what was wrong at my club I probably would have given it some thought and not assumed the Arsenal PR team should be entirely made up of Arsenal supporters.
