willian's going to corinthians and forgoing the two years and 20m left on his contract. fair play.
Frustrating to see their £200k a week mistake just handing the money back while ours hoping for an impossible move to clubs that have no interest in him. Sigh.

We should be careful what we wish for, clubs that get relegated rarely challenge again. If Ar$eanal go down, they could end up like Schalke, Hamburg, Frankfurt and Kaiserslautern. Big clubs with CL & Europa league histories, who challenged at the top. Of those, only Frankfurt made it back to the top part of the league, and it took them 15 years. Following relegation Schalke lost 80% of the first team, the replacements are mostly free transfers and frankly rubbish.

In the UK, Newcastle, Villa, Blackburn and Leeds went down. All were challenging at the top in the years immediately prior to relegation, and none of them are going to be troubling the top 6 come the end of the season.

If Arsenal went down, given the current ownership there. I suspect it could be a long road back, maybe upwards of 10-15 years. They could lose most of their team, and be financially stricken for a long time.

Sure, we can laugh at their plight, but the league would be poorer for less derby games. We’re seeing that this season in Germany where Schalke are missing out on local derbies with Leverkusen, Bochum and Dortmund, which in turn means lost revenue for all clubs involved!

I get what you’re saying and a NLD is still a decent occasion - but I think I could live with just drawing them in the 3rd round of the Carabao cup while they languish in the championship:LOL:

Very unlikely he is doing that. More likely he's agreed to terminate with a pay off of some percentage of the contract.

Who the fuck are this lot anyway? They’ve replaced all the originals like they’re the fecking sugababes or something.
This is just that live thing they do, I presume the normal lot went to the game and did the after match rage stuff.
Apparently yesterday was Lee's birthday, I don't mind him to be honest.
Nice birthday present though lol.

Robbie was at the game. Not seen anything from Ty though. He might actually be broken.

It's obviously not going to happen - but I'd love to see them go down. It'd be glorious.

I am worried that they've got so bad, they'll actually try and do something sensible about it.

Don’t worry about that. We’ve will still have our ‘biggest’ rivals West Ham ???

Although It is nice to dream Arsenal won’t go down. They might be Mid Table come the end of the season but they will com good enough to be well clear of Relegation.

Voldermort is still there, and I expect the others have sensibly realised that Robbie was prostituting their self respect

They probably will be safe. But I think that they will never be comfortably clear of a relegation battle. It'll be like many Newcastle teams of the last 5 years, constantly only 4-6 points or so from dropping into the relegation zone, but will win 3 in a row to pull clear just in time.

Will be glorious to watch though.

I predict 14th.

Why would it not happen?
They're sh1t and seem to be rotten to the core.
A DOF who isn't getting players to help the positions that they are crying out for- (lining his own pockets?)
Even Willian cancelling his contract after one year just to get out of the place!
If they are in a dogfight at the end of the season, where is the bonding and team spirit going to come from?
We have to accept that this is a good time to support us and enjoy it while we can and maybe, just meybe they get relegated and lose top flight football for the first time!

I think it could really happen. You’re right, they lack bonding and spirit. They could well end up having an absolutely terrible season!

No one is saying we want them out of the Prem forever. Just a decade or so and then they come back up and we royally spank them home and away every year. Then, when that gets boring, we can watch them get relegated again. We’ve got fuck loads of London’s derbies. Some of you need to have a word with yourselves.

Woudlnt miss our games with them at all. Rivalry gets better when you have had time apart.
