I personally can't see how someone's sexual preference is remotely relevant in footballing terms. A good player is just that, regardless of being gay or not. Non-issue in my view.
But banging a colleague at work is reprehensible irrespective of sexuality. There are other places for it.

Being an elite athlete is completely different to going abroad and doing a 9-5 elsewhere, it's laughable to even compare it.
E: wrong thread
Come on. It’s so obviously BS. Considering gay players are to scared to even come out in a situation they can control I have serious doubts that 2 gay players for the same team would be all like “you fancy a quick fuck in the shower” or some shit.
If I put myself in that position I think I’d go for a hotel or some other private place rather than the training ground showers as that would be a little more risky but as I say, fuck knows.
Gunnersaurus was keeping watch, so they thought they were safe.
Although the gobby **** obviously went and tipped off the Arab media, just shows no one can be trusted these days.
If you think about it logically, the training ground is the perfect place where teammates could hook-up with the least possible suspicion or risk. No media in there, not being seen to be anywhere they shouldn't be etc.

On a lighter note, if you were a sexually rampant male with a penchant for such things, I imagine being around a building draped in the word "arse" (or, subconsciously, it's kind of a portmanteau of the word 'anal', too) and a phallic cannon all over everyone's training gear would be a bit of a trigger zone.
If I'm thinking about it constructively, a room full of self-absorbed young men probably wouldn't look up from their phones long enough to notice a full-on bukake orgy in the middle of dressing room.

Of course it's always possible that these things happen and aren't so secretive in the confines of clubs.
Just catching up on this thread and howling at some of these posts, fucking brilliant, well played

I'm just speaking for me personally. Arsenal I really couldn't give a crap about anymore. They've become a joke. I do love beating and being above them, but weirdly it's become expected and I am always disappointed we don't win at the Emirates more because we do have the better squad.

At least Chelsea it's a proper game, proper challenges and tackles etc. A proper derby for me should be fiesty and not just the crowds. The players have to feel it to. I get that from Chelsea.
Fuck Chelsea, they want to latch on to us so they can have a derby against a big club.

It winds them right up to know they not important to us.

Luckily presumably this will be eaten by the ban and so he will be back in normal time?

Tested positive while on duty suggests possibly that he got it before he left, so there could be others I guess.

Wouldn't surprise me if their players paid for positive tests so they could isolate until Arteta's gone :cautious:

Didn't they have COVID cases to start the season?

Imagine if they don’t beat Norwich. So much of their season depends on Saka and ESR. And for the promise those 2 show, their actual numbers in terms of goals and assists is really quite poor. So if they don’t put the numbers in who will ? An in decline Auba ? Pepe ?

Going back to the Son thing, I remember my ex (from Korea) telling me that apparently when he was younger, Son wasn't always well-regarded by many Koreans and the media, because he was dating lots of different female celebrities. Idk, maybe he's knuckled down and focused on his football, but sounded as if he was fooling around a bit. He only got superstar status once he moved to Spurs and upped his ability.

My partner is from South Korea and she says he is smashing quite a bit of celebrity ass there.

I get the impression she’d be happy if she could get some of that. I mentally shrug

Gonna be a long time before we see openly gay high profile players imo.
You've only got to look at the abuse black players are still getting, it's not surprising that a gay player hasn't decided to take that route.
Pretty sad situation really.
I posted about a player in the US who's openly gay having to be defended by his coach and team, with the opposition coach being an absolute prick about the situation:

I thought Sonny's dad didnt allow him to date girls cos it would distract him from his career? I swear I read that somewhere...
When you watch his documentary its just weird

I dont know if it was set up to portray a certain image in Korea but when he isn't at spurs he is either being trained by his dad or sitting in an empty room as his dad doesn't like any sort of decoration.

You end up feeling really sorry for him.
