I think so far they're having a poor poor window.

Jesus is OK but when you look at all the clubs they want to finish ahead of would he start? No way.

The Portuguese kid could turn out good but 35 million on a position they don't need to concentrate on is something we used to do.

What cost them was their lack of cover at full back, they aren't after a right back and the ajax lad they want is a centre back who think about this. He can play a position that were prioritising and we haven't been mentioned as looking at him once. That tells me the club like lots of others are saying think he lacks physicality for the league.

Their central midfield options are poor and if rumours are true about to get worse. Signing another playmaker type again isn't what they need.

And Jesus and nketiah is a pairing that a club aiming for a top half finish would like not top four.

I reckon they struggle to finish top six and I Potter is their manager by next season. With the added games they're going to struggle.

I am not as dismissive of their team/squad as some and with 5 CL positions (I think) available next season then they'll probably be ok plus they'll give Europa a good run. I do think however they are physically lacking and this is where we are building a physically strong side and should on paper pull away.

Not surprised considering Woking's manager is a genius.

Think they're in big trouble this season
What do you mean by that?

Certainly, I don't see them getting top four. But 5th or 6th doesn't seem to be out of their reach and I can't see them finishing lower than 8th. I think some of our fans are in danger of underestimating them. How do you define "big trouble", mate?

Exactly. I'd say if he scores 12 - 15 pl goals he'd have done very well.

Really? For £45m and playing every league game as their main striker? If we were in that position and that was the return I’d be pissed off. It is what I expect him to get, but it is also what I am expecting Richarlison to get for us and that is without starting every game.

I quite like Jesus (the player, not the christ), and I'd have been reasonably happy with him as a 4th choice attacking player.
But Arsenal should be looking to break into the top 4, and that means they need a balanced and effective attacking unit that will rival those of the current top 4 as well the other challengers. If I were a fan, I'd be underwhelmed with Jesus as the goalscorer signed to fire Arsenal past probably Spurs or Chelsea and into the top 4.
Perhaps he'll turn out to be magnificent, but it looks like they've signed a player to compete with Saka rather than to complement him.

Jesus's second touch is normally a sliding tackle. He looks clumsy in possession. He won't get the chances dished up on a plate for Arsenal as he did at City.

I think Jesus will look good on paper at the gooners, I could see him getting 20 PL goals but they'll come in batches against cannon fodder

AFTV show well worth a watch tonight. Robbie delusional off the scale. Apparently Edu told Paul Merson they have 2 big signings coming at Elton John concert and Merson told Lee judges to be excited at a function last night ?
