It's stuff like this that baffles me. The hype about something that is done in every single football club. The amateur club I coached at in Portugal do this...hell even under 11s do it. Why is everything Arteta does supposedly a revelation??

Let’s not act like us playing in the conference league was some huge burden shall we? ? We played largely second string sides in that competition and we were out of it by January anyway. We’ll be fine with having 2 tough games a week for the same reason they will, they’ve strengthened their squad with 6 new players coming in. Their first 11 is very strong tbh, if they have some luck with injuries (every team needs this, if we had the usual Kane injury we wouldn’t have made top 4 last season) they will do well this year I think. We’ll finish above them still though as our squad as that but stronger and we have consistent world class players in Son and Kane to drag us through games we play poorly in
Whilst I tend to agree with you, it should be noted that they were not involved in any domestic competition, other than the league, after January whereas we were involved until March.

They got to the same stage of the league cup as us and I think we made it a round or 2 further in the FA Cup. So really it isn’t a huge difference in the work load when you take into account the fact that our first 11 never really played in the conference league

Kane and Sonny were regularly used in the conference league because our second stringers kept finding themselves in bad situations

Just checked. Kane featured in every game apart from Vitesse away, the rest was always a mix of second stringers with some normal starters.

Arsenal will have to play second stringers, as their squad is not deep enough. This will lead to games where they need their first select to bail them out.

How many minutes on average did they play? Can’t be more than 20-30 minutes which isn’t really noteworthy for a fit young athlete

Looking at last years table Arsenals goals scored and against was only 1 and 3 better than West Ham and they went to the semis. Leicester were 1 better and 11 worse and they went to the semis and had loads of injuries all season. We were 8 goals better each way than them and 7 each way worse than Chelsea.

I Personally think they will stay in the 5-8th range in the league.

I cant see on current squad they bridging a 16 goal difference and 1 and 5 pt difference with us and Chelsea and probably extending to a bigger gap this year. But I think we can bridge a 14 goal difference and 3 pts gap with Chelsea

Cos he worked under Pep. Don’t doubt the process.

City will be coming for him soon.

Good work mate. We should finish comfortably above them but I will shout about it when the season is over. :)

We would never do this we just wouldn’t especially under this regime. I might be chatting sh*t but I think it’s tiny percentage s like this that feed into a weak mentality. You know when you hear about team bonding going on Marine exercises for 3 days in forest for tiny percentage gains. This is almost like the opposite.

United will finish above Arsenal

Depending on how seriously West Ham take the Conference League, I think they will be pushing to take them too with the signings it looks like they’ve made and/or are planning to make. Arsenal fans keep comparing their side to ours when really they should look at West Ham. There really is little difference in the sides when you look at it. West Ham defence v theirs, not much difference, West Ham midfield is streets ahead of theirs, the attacks are pretty similar too although the scum might shade it. The more I think about it, the more comparable the sides look.

Unless dressing up for photo shoots is what motivates them of course? ?
