Gonna have to mute them from my twitter timeline now. I did it with liverpool years ago and it was the best thing I did on that app. Now half the tweets I see seem to be about them despite me having nothing to do with them. I've had enough and this is before they've actually even won anything.

They're crowing over a four point lead over us now - they had the same lead over us 26 games further into the season last season and we all remember what happened.

Granted - they look a lot stronger this time around but the point being there's still a very long way to go.

No point talking about beating teams "that they'd expect to beat" - last season they lost three on the spin to Palace, Brighton and Southampton before following it up with wins over Chelsea and Man Utd before that absolute bottlejob in the final few games - point being it's not about who you beat on the day but about consistency over the season, which so far they've shown, but likewise they've shown flashes of vulnerability as well even if they've managed to get the result in most of the games.

The World Cup is really gonna be key here. We know Odegaard, Zinchenko and Tierney will get a rest as their countries didn't qualify, and if Jesus, Martinelli, Gabriel and White all get omitted like they did from the last set of international fixtures then that's the majority of their starting XI getting a mid-season break - we all saw what a difference it made in the NLD when most of their lot had stayed at home to train whereas ours had played two games and travelled long distances. That would make them near certainties for the top four. But I don't see anyone getting within 10 points if City this year. Guess who's also getting a rest over the World Cup? That's right - Haaland.

You should unmute Liverpool now; it's hilarious.

Read some of RAWk about the game. they are fuming about the decisions. Interesting Ref watch on Sky has the Gabriel decision as a penalty and Arsenal penalty wasn't a penalty.

For the life of me I don't get how Saka wasn't offside, saw a few lines being drawn on twitter and it looks off.

Did anyone think the trailing leg of Saka was offside and were a bit puzzled as to why we didn’t see a green line drawn confirming they’ve checked the result? Well it was because no check was made, due to Saka being out of the shot on all VAR cameras.

This is of course before even considering the two penalty decisions that went Arsenal’s way that should have been the reverse.

The VAR set the kick-point on Ben White, who played the pass to Saka, and then looked to use one of the other cameras, which are all time-synced, to apply the offside lines. Technology provider Hawk-Eye has five cameras around the pitch which can be used to place the offside lines, but Saka was out of shot on all of them at the point the ball was played by White.

From the tactical camera around the halfway line, which isn't calibrated for offside, there is definitely a question of offside against Saka as he's running back, specifically whether his back foot is ahead of the last defender, Trent Alexander-Arnold. But as the VAR could not apply the lines, Saka's offside position cannot be determined so the VAR has to stay with the decision on the pitch, which was onside.

Cannot believe that handball was not given. His arm was up in the air, in an unnatural position and it stopped a cross going into a dangerous area.

With the amount of money that is in the game shouldn't companies be getting sued for that kind of error and ineptitude? There should be some kind of retribution if they are making money off their product and it isn't up to scratch

Rubbing salt in the wounds Sky’s ref watch by Dermot Gallagher says it was handball by Gabriel and Arsenal’s pen shouldn’t have been given.

Yup, I always find it a joke that apparently Hawkeye didn’t pick up Sakas position for their first goal when he was clearly offside

Just seen how Jesus goes down for the pen. Fuck this sport. And I am aware that our players do it too.

I thought Gabriel Jesus throwing himself around was embarrassing! I hate it when Richi and Emerson do it too. Seems prevalent with the Brazilian players.

GJ must have been milking the elbow in the face big time, and judging by the reaction of the players around him I thought he’d been knocked clean out.

I was so surprised to see him carry on once he had ‘come round’!

It’s cheating, plain and simple!

This is one of my biggest bones of contention and has been for ages now. Cheating is now very much a part of the game and all players do it. I wish I could say Spurs players don't, but I'd be lying. Any team these days who refused to join in with the cheating would get eaten alive every week. Sorry, but them's the facts.
